I thought the opening was a From Hell spoof. At least the credits.

I thought it was spoofing some recent cop drama/ CSI like show or something. The first two eps were ok to me and felt like they were finding their place back with Harmon on board, but this was a delightful step up.

May sound weird but I didn't really enjoy the first episode too much either. The second episode truly felt like classic Community though.

I thought this wasn't as good as the first two episodes. There were some funny moments though. And I'm gonna miss Donald Glover. The whole scene when he slapped Starburns . His expressions are always perfect.

It was David Fincher (it's shot like his movies with references to Zodiac, The Social Network) and other serial killer movies/shows. The credits were from Red Dragon.

Reminded me of that film "Zodiac" more than any other serial killer film/tv

Agreed with all of the above, but I thought the consistent use of cold lighting was remininscent of the Hannibal TV series, and of course the exchange with Annie and Duncan was straight out of Red Dragon.

Yea and when Abed started talking about investigators with mental disabilities made me think of Hannibal as well. But really that's any number of shows

I thought it was okay, definitely the weakest of the parodies (that Harmon made). The best gags was Troy's trauma and the Dean snapping his fingers for a trace.

Troy's trauma was the best. It was the funniest part of the episode.

That was the funniest episode in what seems like forever.

But I'm not ready for Troy to leave.

But, Wasn't that good of a Troy ender. Yeah, he gets to go sail a boat and we got Abed's 'not 'cool cool cool but I was expecting some tears, etc.
