I never got what made 30 Rock so popular. I just don't get that show, nor do I find it remotely funny (sorry to the people that do, it's my loss though).

I'm pretty sure The Office does decent ratings, but I have a feeling Community will be fine.

Oh I love 30 Rock. I think it's funny as all hell, but I can understand that it's a very niche show. Dare I say it's also a very New York show and involves a lot of local references that someone who has never been here would not necessarily get.

Community won't get cancelled.

What WILL happen, is they'll take it off the air early and replace it with one of their newer shows - which will flop, hard - during the winter break. Then they'll realize that while Community isn't getting BBT numbers, it's still doing good in it's own right.

But whatever scoundrel at CBS decided to move BBT to opposite Community is a genius.

Survivor/CSI/Mentalist was the thursdayline up I believe. All I know is CBS owned monday nights with their comedy 2 hour block, and NBC owned thursdays with their comedy 2 hour block.

But now the tides have turned.

Eh, I guess. I never understood the appeal of Big Bang Theory, personally. Watched like 2 episodes and then never bothered again.

i like BBT. but community is on a different level. what they did with Abed this week was insane (positive).

it could be that Community works when you watch it together on the DVD .

An evil genius.

But I'm not worried about the show's future right now, I remain hopeful.

Community was a breakaway hit last season, I heard so much about it just by word of mouth and started at ep 18 then went back and saw the rest and was hooked, but my point is there has been massive buzz about this show and there was ALL summer long and especially with Betty White being in the premiere I dont see how the ratings arent better. Seriously I think alot of this show just goes right over peoples heads, its style and writing and all the movie references and spoofs are definitely steered more toward the geek or nerd community but I know plenty of people who love this show and I really dont think itll go anywhere this soon. I dont see why people are ragging on Outsourced so much, I think its hilarious and just like Community last year needs a good number of eps to find its niche but the culture clash is awesome and I love how none of the characters "get" our American humor. I love 30 Rock as well and am not from New York but I get it, Ive never really seen the appeal for The Office I cant stand Steve Carrel 90% of the time and the Parks and Rec I would give another chance but the first few eps I was just like WTF am I watching?

^That is why I'm scared. This show is too smart, too good. Look at Arrested Development, very few got their jokes and you know the story...

It's sad we live in a world where the "best comedy", per ratings/awards, are dumb-sex-on-the-nose jokes by Charlie Sheen, mentally handicapped comedy by Steve Carrell and singing crap from Glee.

Honestly, this show showed its brilliance (or balls) by having a whole character's "story" happen in the background for an episode. That is how awesome Community is but sadly stuff like that turns viewers off. Also, lines like: "I better count that since I'm a calculating *****." fly right over most of the GA's head.

I really want to buy Dan Harmon a drink, because the guy is a genius.

As long as Community lasts 4 season I'll be happy

Troy's quote in your sig is gold, might be with my top 2;

"She made a mix cd on her last dying breath, that's gangsta"

"My friendship with Abed is a giant cookie!”

While watching football, I noticed NBC isn't even advertising Community. What the hell, it was all Office/30 Rock ads?

I saw a couple ads for the upcoming episode during the commercials. They are there.

''I had relations with my high school boyfriend.We did it to ''Madonna's erotica'' on the floor of his walk-in closet. But he wouldn't let me look at it. And he cried after. And during. He's gay now.''

did you know that this joke is a true story from Alison's college years.:oldrazz:

look at this link :lmao::hehe:
http://www.nerve.com/features/true-stories/homosexual-schmomosexual

Now at this point I probably could have read the subtext here, like, I'm not into this. I'm not really attracted to you at all. 'Cuz I'm gay. But no, I chose to take this as a plea for further instruction. I mean, I'd tackled problems in the bedroom far more challenging than this and always concluded with a happy ending, so to speak.So I'm like, "Okay, let's brainstorm. Maybe if we put the mattress in the closet, we'll have plenty of privacy." (I failed to see the irony at the time.) But he's okay with it, and so the next thing I know, we're squeezing the mattress onto the floor of this small, dark closet and we get in there and he's like, "One more thing. I think also you should get stoned. I just think I'll feel more comfortable if you're kind of out of it, ya know, so I can like, do my own thing..."Now this gave me pause. I was suddenly a little worried. I mean, what were the real motives here? Was he going to wait till I was "out of it" and try to wiggle it into my butt? Did he want to dress me like a boy and sodomize me in secret? I momentarily pondered my predicament. Was I losing my erotic edge? Had I finally found an envelope I could not push? No! We had gone too far for me to back down now, and I wasn't about to let this little fairy destroy my hard-earned sexual legacy; I've made out with Mormon chicks, for Christ's sake! Luckily, I had my affinity for pot on my side, and the idea of free drugs outweighed any long-term insecurity.So I say, "Sure! Sounds great! Anything you want."He's like, "Great! I'll go find better music to set the mood!"So I'm smoking, I get good and high, and he comes back very excited, like, "Oh my God, I found the perfect song: Madonna's 'Erotica.'"

Yea its been discussed in the thread before. Ive always said they oughta do an episode referencing this in some way

I've seen plenty of community ads

Okay but seriously, why is this show even considering being canceled? This is one of the best comedies on TV right now. I dont see how this is even getting bad ratings either. Most of the people I know love the show. NBC is ****ing ******ed if they cancel community
