The Amazing Spider-Man Concept Art

Don't be sorry. You act like I said I wanted these in the movie. :o

So what was your point then? You didn't like the movie costume, and like these over the it or don't you? Because these are more comic accurate?? Which is all you really needed to say. You don't need to tell me how you prefer these cheap pieces of trash over the movie costume and then go on to tell me how these aren't acceptable either. Just say you didn't like changes to the design. The comparisons to the crap cosplays aren't relevant.

Cut the middleman and just say it- you wanted comic accurate and you didn't get it.

Movie suit was the best out of all the choices (maybe one of the concepts was better, iirc), but there were several pieces of concept art for Liz that were far better than the design we got.

*sigh* Yeah don't bother reading my original post.

I said, "these are in no way acceptable for a big budget movie, but even these are better than what we got" in a nutshell.

Yeah, concepts typically start in completely out of left field on purpose. You ant really know when you've nailed it if you haven't tried everything, regardless how ridiculous it is.

Wow, I'm really glad you said that. I've always wondered why concept art typically makes me think, "Where did these ridiculous ideas even come from? These are obviously the worst choices possible." Not in all cases, but many.

It's a process very much concerned with the evolution of a design. You gotta go crazy at the beginning because if you're thinking outside of the box, you might stumble on something that you like, even if it's just a little detail here or there. For instance, the concept where it looks like Spidey just had red and blue paint splashed on him, I can see where the director might have seen how some of the colors "twist" around the body, which would have been followed by the concept art that more closely resembles the movie suit (look at how the red portions seem to twist or wrap itself around the arms, over the shoulders, etc).

Webhead, I personally don't understand how Spidey fans live with him always going back to the original look. I'm personally tired of the original look, and love the one that TASM gave him.

I read the post. You're just not making any sense. If they're better than what's in the movie ( which was supposedly your original point) then theyre acceptable for a big budget film, since, ya know.....the supposedly look better than what was in a big budget movie. But then at the same time youre telling me how it's not acceptable, which leads me to ask the question - why are you even posting these then?

They're either better or they ain't....

Maybe they could change up the webshooters for the second Amazing Spider-Man movie. They showed off the tech in this movie but imo the webshooters stick out like a sore thumb, so conceal them behind the gloves or something.

Err.. they meant for them to stick out like a sore thumb.. it's sort of why they glow..

And I personally don't want that to change..

People ***** about the official suit, but, looking at the concept art, you can't deny it was pretty much the best possible suit to go with. (Sans the classic suit)

If anything these pics just make the one they used look even better. :awesome::up:

Does anyone know what the texture on the costume is made out of?

I'm a Sony executive and I find that design fascinating! Now THAT is the perfect suit for the sequel! :oldrazz:

..can someone please tell me I'm not the only one who prefers the movie suit over the classic one? >.<
