I love seeing people come up with radical suit ideas, even if its crazy looking, cause it means they are trying to think up something different and new. Something really fun to see that progress from something crazy to something toned down to ... what we get.

This. I hate how almost every alternate costume Spidey gets nowadays is a reworked symbiote costume. It's also why I like the Ends of the Earth suit

Really wish we got the EOTE suit in the game. Almost every alternate suit is black. lol.

As for the concepts, yeah, they're cool....as concepts. If any of those ever made it on screen....well....not sure what i'd do.

If you want something without changes, go read the comics.

Changes to tell your own story and changes to distance yourself from a predecessor for a marketing ploy are two different things....one is sad.

First let me stress that this is in no way ACCEPTABLE for a big budget film, but if I had to choose between the reboot and these? Well sadly I would go with these, even if they are cheap looking. At least they have web patterns...and no shoes...and a good balance of red and blue.

My point is, it is not hard to make a costume look decent using the classic design. For this new look they went too far, made too many unnecessary changes, and it came out looking sort of like a parody costume or a really cheap foreign toy. At least when I see these I go "hey that's the Spidey I know!" where as with the new one I am just like "...What happened? "

It really baffles me that they had decent and better designs for both Spidey and Lizard and yet they went with the crap we got in the movie. I am just baffled. =\
"Hey, these suck let's use them!"

Better designs? Besides one for Spidey, I wouldn't say those designs are definitely better. And the designs for Lizard looked like crap.

I am certainly glad with what we got in TAS-M.

Or just re-watch Raimi's films over and over again.

I remember how pissed off people were of the raised webbing in Spidey's costume in the original trilogy.

"OMG ITS RAISED! ITS NOT HOW THE COMIC COSTUME LOOKs! FAIL!"

I definitely hated the raised webbing. It was just for flash.

I don't personally think there was anything wrong with the design we got for the lizard, but they clearly got the lizard to please fans, so why not do fan service while you're at it? I know they wanted that design to show emotion, but in the movie he never really showed emotion, anything that should be motion cap anyway
