The Dark Knight Concerns about TDK

I'm not generally worried about the whole "Will TDK be rubbish?" thing, if it's a giant flop then so be it. It's still good to see what we were waiting for, isn't it?

However, I'd like to point out that Joker's new look doesn't ruin the character as this film is the second installment of Nolan taking Batman from the top.

Cbble pot was there too but noone ever mentions it. there was a guy that looked way to much like penguin not to be penguin. so, i ask again who is this guy Zsasz?

In the film, he was the killer Crane got sent to Arkham, and he later threatened Rachel and the kid in the narrows before Batsy came along. In the comics, he's a serial killer, created by Norm Breyfogle and Alan Grant to kick off the 'Shadow of the Bat' comic back in '92. Clearly inspired by Hannibal Lcter, he played mind games with Batman and manipulated Jeremiah Arkham. After that, he just became your standard psychotic killer, albeit with the gimmick of carving a little nick in his skin after each new kill. he was pretty scarred.

Crappy image, but the best I could find at short notice.

Good man! Thanks for way more info than I was expecting. I remember the character now. Aside from the expected 80'S material, and that great Brian Talbot Legends of the Dark Knight arc, picking up a Bat -book is kinda sorta rare. I'm so picky about artists and I'm ultra picky about the way Batman is portrayed. so i'm never up to speed on a lot of the characters and happenings. Itsthebatman, your a good fella, and this from a guy who called you an ass just a few short weeks ago.

Thanks a lot, appreciate it.:woot:

Dude, couldn't you have googled that info yourself...?

Despite it being a rather generic concern, the only real problem I have is Joker painting his face. Everything else is going well.

I just hope Joker ends up Perma-WHITE.

Concerns:

-Scarecrow getting less than 2 min screen time like in the last film. Since we've seen his evolution at the end, though, here's to hoping it continues in TDK.

-Joker being a simple criminal with make-up. Who laughs a lot.

-Robocop batman.

I'm just concerned about the fact that I still have to wait 11 months to see this movie. I don't know what will tide me over until then. I could care less about the perma-white skin at this point, and I'm a HUGE Joker geek. I just can't wait to see that first IMAX shot of The Joker. It's going to melt my face.

wtf??? dude, i just casualy asked who the character Zasza was. Only expecting a few words. I didn't ask for a charcater history but Itsthebatman was kind enough to provide me a good chunk of info even tho I didn't ask. Was I out of line?? Shut your ****in' pie hole, please:whatever:

update: Read through the thread before you make off the cuff remarks.

yeah, that was what I thought of to-Robocop.

My only concern is that people will b*tch and moan all the way up until the release date and then months thereafter.

All reasonable, all seem to look like you're going to be disappointed. Doesn't Scarecrow have only a cameo since Murphy was there for a few days and just in the parking garage scene? But anyway, all of those aren't faults yet, just changes that Nolan has made. They can't be faults until the film is released and we see his reasons behind the changes.

My main concern is Nolan giving us the cinematic flair we're going to need in this one. He missed so many oppurtunities to give us, big action scenes and iconic Batman shots in BB, and TDK is going to require even more epic and iconic shots than the last one.

I posted a pic of Zsasz, then you asked yet again who he was. If you really wanted to know, there is a very creative invention that has been around for sometime; it's called a computer. Use it ala google or wikipedia.

Now go bury your head in the sand *****e bag.

My only concern is fanboys *****ing about everything like now. The movie will be fine calm the hell down

My concern is all the "Batmen".....first, I thought the photo of all the batmen looked goofy. I understand that they're supposed to look goofy. Their bat costumes are supposed to look "homemade".....but still, I dont know how these "batmen" are going to fit into the overall plot, and they are the one element that makes the plot seem too bloated to me. The introduction of the Joker, plus the formation of Two-Face, plus keeping focus on Bruce Wayne....AND NOW a group of Batmen running around, just sounds like a crazy congested plot. and I'm also curious as to what Batman's response is going to be....is he going to give all the batmen a pep talk about how dangerous being a vigilante is and how only he is qualified to do the job? is he going to train the batmen? fight them? plus it seems weird that Nolan would be in favor of introducing a squad of batman-wanna-bes, but be dead-set against introducing Dick Grayson.

yeah, so in other words, I find everything about the "Batmen" strange.

My concerns: Crappy looking Joker, crappy looking fight scenes, six hour speeches on fear again.
Was there crappy fighting in the WWC footage or did you not like the fighting in BB?
