I agree that it is extremely lobsided on paper. I at least wish they had made Optimus equal to Megatron which he clearly was not.

I agree. If I have to listen to my step-father complaining that Optimus Prime is always late and is a wimp in this movie, I will never let him watch another movie again. They had better have Optimus doing some serious fighting and serious damage against Megatron and/or the Fallen. The humans can help, but this is supposed to be a movie about giant shapeshifting robots from space, first and foremost. I want robot carnage caused by other robots. And I want Optimus to demonstrate why he is in charge, by being tough enough to take on Megatron ( and by being a good leader and a good guy, ect., ect.)

If that happens then there will be no use for the Autobots at all.

Maybe not, he was the closest we had to a human bad guy in the last one and I kind of enjoy his slight manic personality.

Sure, why not, let Sam experience the pain of loss.

They won't kill her. They need the love angle. It is like a classic movie component. They would only kill her if A) they were going to give Sam a new girlfriend in the next one (unlikely with how all they guys fawn over her) or B) they bring her back to life with some miracle (again, unlikely, because they will need to save the resurrection tricks for Megatron and Optimus Prime (who is likely to die, considering his past history with dying heroic deaths and returning)) So Mikaela will live.

Yeah but it can also make the story more interesting for example one of the autobots would have to protect her and one of the decepticons kill her off anyway leaving Sam angry at both factions.

The only way any autobot would not protect her properly would if they were nearly killed themselves. Even if they were not killed, the whole autobot attitude means they would wish they had been killed rather than having Mikaela killed. I just do not see that happening.

I put it in the same likelyhood as the Mikaela/Bumblebee romance someone suggested on the ShoWest thread.

I will admit, your idea is interesting and would be a cool thing to see. I still do not see it happening.

MY main concern at the moment is Jetfire, awesome and bad-ass character from the comics reduced to a half crippled 'old man' robot. Pisses me off. Also dissapointed about the choice of some bots, mainly the twins.

Actually, once I went on a MySpace of Megan (and it was authentic 'cause I've found it on Shia's list of friends of his profile, also authentic with a video of himself) and some guy posted a comment feeling sorry for the upcoming death of Mikaela.

There is NO WAY that she is going to die. NO WAY. Bay would never kill off someone who he made famous. Cool robots, explosions, and Fox are what this franchise is all about. I cant think of anyone less likely to kill off a main-female-hot character than Michael "The Touch" Bay..
