No one is confusing s**t. Calm down. There's much more at play here than generic, party affiliations. Square ALWAYS does one SKU, one game. They make a game FOR one system then move on to the next project. Yoichi Wada said FF is a PS3 series on several occasions. The Mass Effect series could TECNHICALLY go multiplatform. They're like Factor 5. They're not owned by anyone but they make games for the systems that they like and get paid under the table to make the game as good as possible. But it's their series. To say FFXIII will go to 360 just does not seem fathomable just like Mass Effect 1 going to PS3. They are only 10% done with the ps3 version as is. Want to wait 2 more years AFTER the PS3 release for a 360 version? And for what? The PS3 will have more than enough of an install base to meet the demands of FFXIII.
Edit: Oh I forgot. FF XIII will be built on the company's proprietary White Engine, which is tooled to render animated sequences specifically using the PS3's Cell processor, right? That basically rules out the idea of a simultaneous release. If they developed for the 360, they'd need to not only use a different engine but they'd have to start after it is released for the PS3 for sure. It's not fathomable to me.
