I got for free a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #36, giving me a double:

I'm thinking this is a comic I will be adding onto the grand prize. It's listed at Milehighcomics (sold out, btw) for $75.00. I might make the grand prize, then, be a Spider-Man set...between 15-20 nice Spidey titles.

oooooooh I want it! Can the judges be swayed by sexual favours?

In that case, we should fall back on the most commonly known version. Make that the current version the only two to choose from.

Cool, thanks!

Yeah...12 spots is enough that we will be able to go on with Season 2; but, ideally, I'd like 5-10 more people. So, even if half of us can recruit one more person, it will help out a lot. I won't be around much tomorrow in my recruiting drive. I'm taking my son to the Seahawk game at Quest Field in Seattle. I'll be gone from 9 am to about 6 pm. I'm about to dig in some boxes and see if I can find a good batch of Spidey comics to go with that issue #36.

Alright, awsome job Phaed and W, and I'm glad to see so many cool people signing up (again or for the first time). I'm glad to say that I'm over my mother's house enough where I should be able to participate just fine, and I will be participating fully, so add me to the list. Sad news is that my mother and step-father are probably going to get a divorce, but a good part of it is that my wife and I may be moving in with my mother and siblings to help them out, and that I'll get internet access quicker than planned, so that's cool.

And the comment about the depowered mutants, that is taken cared of (unless I missed some). Next to most mutants who have been noted as currently depowered, I listed beside them as "Pre M-Day" so that they are powered. If you see someone we missed, let us know prior to the drafting process so we can update it.

And that Spidey comics would be a great prize! I use to have two copies and sold them both, and bought the 'best of spiderman' trade with it in it, but I still wouldn't mind having my own copy again.

And yeah, the changing votes rule began with good ol' Brodie... thus also began our 'love hate' friendship as well. Ah the good ol' days. So are you signing up again Brodie (hopefully for longer and more active) or are you sitting out?

Cool! #13, JH is in!!!!

Yeah, Brodie. You're controversial, but we'd welcome you into the game.

Ok, I've added three more comics to the grand prize.

So, if you go with full price that Mile High offers, our four comics are priced at almost 200.00. I will add some more as time goes on. (BTW, I'm pretty sure my Web Of Spider-Man is a double. There is a 1% chance it isn't; so, that one isn't guaranteed.)

Give recruiting about a week's time. Like I said, I'm hoping to get about 5 more people to join.

He counts, but I think I put you down for 20 recruits. And, get to selling those candy bars, while your at it!

Candy Bars?!!

All I got was bag of rocks. :(

Man, I remember a year I was suppose to sell candy bars. I ate the whole box by the time the month of selling was over. I think that's how those bastards make as much money as they do. Nowadays, seems like schools are having kids sell everything from Christmas wrap to cookie dough to magazines.

My school made me sell crack :wow: I grew up in a rough neighbourhood :csad: On the plus side it payed for a new dodgeball. And the moral is, eating candy bars is one thing, CRACK RUINS LIVES :wow:

Fundraisers have always been a crock. I don't any kids who's successfully sold 100+ candy bars.

We might have a fifteenth person signing up soon. But, I wanted to put out one word of warning.

I've been PMed quite a few times about contestants who want certain characters. Asking me about them is totally safe. I won't change my personal picks based on what you tell me. BUT, I would ask that you keep to yourself the characters you're really hoping to get with other contestants.

For example, if I was kind of sneaky and I knew that Wiegeabo wanted Jean Grey really bad, I might put her much higher on my list than I normally would have. Plus, it might not even be a sneaky move. A person might just be given a red light on how powerful a character could be, and adjust their lists.

I just want everyone to realize that even making up your list can be an important strategy for the game. Yet, any questions PMed to me will be in strictest confidence and never used against you.
