Mebbe not a boat, but magneto could have found some metal and floated all of them there, like cars or something...anything
He found a huge section of bridge.
Finally a plot hole thread...we really need this...because this had more issues than Iceman not just freezing the dam water in X2....
How is THAT even a plothole?
- Where was the Brotherhood Camp? Because either coast seems to make little sense....if it is West, how did Wolverine drive there and back on a motorbike so quickly?
Remember, it's Cyclops's cycle. The one that goes SUPERFAST, as we saw in X-MEN? And there's nothing that says he took the bike all the way. He could have taken the train, a plane, and then rented a car for all we know. It's not that important.
....and how did Xavier and Magneto arrive at Jean's house at the same time?....
They didn't. Magneto was clearly there waiting for them to arrive. Hence, his henchman lounging around.
where WAS her house for that matter - how did SHE get there?
She flew? Walked? Who cares? Her house was clearly somewhere near Xavier's school. Driving distance.
How did Pyro just show up wherever Bobby was at the cure clinic - where was this - East Coast, how did Pyro suddenly get there?
Probably because Magneto sent him to hit the clinic there. And he did.
And if Mags was on the East Coast, how the heck did he get his army to San Francisco without attracting attention????
He wasn't on the East Coast. I think the scene where he takes control of the "meeting" is in San Francisco.
- Kitty missing 'first snow' in Illinois when she lives in NY
She can still miss the first snow in Illinois. She didn't say "It doesn't snow here".
- Angel goes from CA to NY to CA - does he fly???
He could have snuck about the X-Jet, rented a plane, god only knows.
- Why does Magneto get to play chess in the public park when he is still supposedly a wanted criminal?
Who's going to notice him? That's kind of the point of the scene.
- Why did Xavier leave Jean unattended with Logan? Shouldn't he have been there waiting for her to wake up?
Maybe reforming psychic blocks gets tiring. Maybe he had to pee.
- Why did Xavier let Mags join him to talk to Jean? This is a man who left him to die in X2 after using him to try to kill all the humans.
What's he going to do, fight him? That's not really Xavier's way, considering. Xavier clearly knew time was of the essence, and that fighting Magneto and his Brotherhood would be counterproductive. So did Storm and Logan.
- What becomes of Pyro and Juggs?
Who cares? It's not a plot hole, it's a loose plot end. Wonder why...
What does Iceman do after Pyro torches the building in which mutants are seeking to get cured? Does he just let the people inside burn to death? Does he not attempt to help anyone?
I don't think everyone inside neccessarily burned to death. Since the scene doesn't show anything like that happening. He might have put the fire out. Or the flames might have gone out on their own when Pyro left. Or the fire department...
Why is Magneto just walking the streets as a free man at the end of the movie?
He's sitting in the park. Not walking the streets.
Why couldn't Magneto control the pricks on the cure????
Non magnetic metal? Plastic needles?
Why wasn't Leech used to stop Jean Greys/Pheonix powers? (have to do something with the "classes" probally...
Because Leech had been gotten to "safety". And would have died, had he been tossed at Jean's destructive aura.
5. Jean destroyed everything in the house and demolecurized Charles. when Logan and Storm ran into the house. The wheelchair was there with a bit of damaged and dust. Cut to the funeral and you get to see brand new wheelchair in the room.
Much like a dead body gets a makeover, Xavier's wheelchair got polished up so it would remind them of his once shining example.
. The purpose of attacking Alcatraz is to kill leech and to intimidate the people. Why can't he crashed the gate a little closer to kill everyone ?
Why didn't Batman just stop Ra's Al Ghul when he had the chance in Wayne Manor? Because it's not dramatic enough.
8. When the bridge came down, there was a lot of smoke from dust and all but everyone still look great especially Jean with her flowing hair.
So?
9. It took a person more than a year to grow hair from Jean in X2 and in X3 length. i think she got hair extension inside the cocoon.
She evolved. Maybe her hair evolved, too.
10. When Calisto jumped to tackle storm on the air. it was clearly storm's mock up as it has no movement and everything was stiff.
Uh...k.
12. When the battle was over, everyone took domestic flight, while storm took Greyhound back to NY.
How is this a plothole? It's a loose end, but not a plothole.
Good catch, I didn't see that. Although another problem during that scene was if they drove that Maybach car, how did Xavier's wheelchair fit if it's not collapsable?
Maybe it was collapsible. I've seen motorized wheelchairs that collapse.
Even when Kitty "phased" juggernaut in the floor.. juggernaut should have instantly been killed.
Not neccessarily. She phased him THROUGH the floor. Not INTO it.
Just because you don't see something tediously shown on screen doesn't make it a plot hole. It's called good story telling. If people would've seen Warren using some of his wealth to rent a private plane would they have been happier? How about shots of him eating a meal in flight? You mean Angel never eats food? Wouldn't he die without nourishment? Isn't that also a huge plot hole?
Heh.
How can people seriously question how Magneto got away at the end? People are literally disintegrating left and right and someone actually expects law enforcement to pause and arrest someone? I would've been running for the bay as fast as I could with a huge load forming in my pants.
Everyone on the bridge left their cars and ran from The Brotherhood. This is during the day.
Or dusk.
So...who turned on EVERY SINGLE CARS' headlights once it turned night?
I'm unsure why so many people feel this is a plothole. The lights are on the entire time. You see that in the first few shots of the cars driving across the bridge.
wolverine tearing into people and never having blood on his claws,he cut a guys head into four parts for godsakes, not even a drop.
It's a PG-13 movie. And his claws are damned sharp.
Why did Logan's hair never burn away when he was approaching Phoenix? It stayed perfect.
Because she wasn't trying to burn his hair away. Only certain PARTS of him got burned away.
Why the hell would Leech come to Xavier's school when all he could do was cancel out people's powers? He's going to have a great time there. This is not so much a plot hole as it is a moment of stupidity on their part.
Why? Maybe he can learn to control his power.
Magneto should've been able to stop their needles.
Not if the needles were plastic or a non-magnetic kind of metal.
Magneto somehow moved across the entire country in a bout a day, carrying with him a broken out fugitive, nevermind himself.
When? Why does everyone assume Magneto was on the East Coast the entire time? There aren't too many massive forests on the East Coast...
The X-Men somehow manage to get Xavier's chair back to the mansion even though they were at the scene of a huge, huge, huge crime scene. No one asked questions...
No one was there. That doesn't mean no one asked questions. We just didn't see it.
In X1 and X2, one bolt of lightining took out Toad b/c in reality, that's what would happen. In X3, Storm's whipping up Lightining here and there and people aren't dying.
She mostly used her lightning to push the Brotherhood away from the army and to form battle lines, not to hit people. Except Callisto.
At the end, suddenly 30 mutants have toad-like super-hopping powers.
Maybe 30 some of the mutants could fly or leap. That would explain them being the first flank. Some of them are clearly shown to be lizardlike.
If Magneto is powerful enough to completely relocate portions of the Golden Gate Bridge, and he is hell-bent on killing Leech and stopping the cure . . . why doesn't he just drop the bridge on top of the entire facility? . . . problem solved. No need to exert yourself . . . no more cure, and onto world domination (not so much a plot hole--just a general wonderment).
Why doesn't Magneto kill people, period? Or world leaders? Or drop the bridge on the lab without being on it? Like you said, this is hardly a plothole.
