His ring by default will protect the wearer from mortal harm. It doesn't mean that he couldn't be knocked out or injured, but the wearer will be protected from being killed (with exceptions).

We do..but we don't I suppose. Because in the leaked art, each Green Lantern has their own style, Sinestro for example has 'rotting' textures on his suit, it's hard to determine what Hal's will be like. Will it be clean? Or like Abin's?

And there was a slight description of the suit, posted by Poniboy, but it's so vague that I don't think we know how it looks like. Mostly, we know that the suit might have white gloves (from story boads) and that's pretty much it.

These costumes are similar in that they both have a rib like detail in the costume. This is probably where the conclusions are being drawn from, but like Octoberist and Bluberry have said the leaked concept artwork and the reports from MultiPurposePoni lead us to believe that it will be similar to the comics except it will have a look and feel of flowing water when it appears on the wearer.

yea we are all waiting for it to show up but it will like others have said be revealed at comic con. filming will be wrapped by then, and likely they would have some stuff rendered for cgi for film.

Well, actually, you really couldn't tell because of the green glow of his ring. The tone of the glove was lighter than the the rest of his costume, so the gloves could be white with the green light obcuring the color (keep in mind that Jordan't fact has a tinge of green in it too).

One thing about the suit being completely CG is that nothing will leak besides concept art and even then the only glance we can get of the actual suit will be from a movie still. That being said, they've been filming since march, I wonder how long it takes them to have one scene with the suit completed and if they show footage is it final because they'll definately be getting a lot of complaints if it doesn't look good.
