I posted this in the "Arrow" forum. But, wanted opinions here.

In an interview just shown. Stephen Amell says he hopes to see the Justice League on the show. Which got me wondering. Could they use Arrow's version of GA in a theatrical version of the Justice League. I have seen nothing that could not translate him into a movie.

Thoughts?

The acting on Arrow isn't good enough for me to want that universe to be part of the cinematic universe. I enjoy Arrow, compared to the acting in MOS though, it feels inferior.

It could be a part of that universe, in the same way SHIELD is to Avengers.

But any appearances should be limited to cameos.

The creator is dreaming too hard. There will never be a JL appearance and I doubt his wish of getting Ryan Reynolds on the show will ever happen.

I pray to God that version of Green Arrow doesn't step foot into this universe. Not only is the acting poor but he doesn't even look like how I imagine the character.

To me, the film version (if there was a cameo or small role) would be Charlie Hunnam in his Sons of Anarchy hair/beard combo. That's how I see Green Arrow coming to life. And that's what would be needed in the acting department.

Charlie Hunnam would make a badass Oliver, if he isn't Flash.

Also, if he was Aquaman, that would be a good way to sell the character in his own film and make him into a badass.

EDIT- I have literally no idea how my post appeared again over two hours later.

I wouldn't even do that. If I see that guys face *rolls eyes*

I haven't seen the show, but I'm a sucker for connecting universes. I'd be fine with it since it doesn't look like SuperMax is going to be back on the table. That is assuming that nothing happens that would ruin the continuity for the rest of the MoS universe.

I always pictures Joel Edgerton for Aquaman. Or someone similar to him in both appearance and acting skills. Hunnam is spot on for Green Arrow. And i agree Amell's Green Arrow isnt Green Arrow yet. They need a lot of work, both the actor and the tv character.

A version of the character from the TV series (a dark vigilante style hero similar to the Batman) could work, but I don't know if they would use the same actor nor the same costume.

As much as I might dislike how MoS handled Superman and collateral damage, I still can't see the TV version of Ollie being accepted amongst the JLA. He's just too murderous.

I don't want their version of Deathstroke and Deadshot to be the cinematic versions of those characters, they should feature in a film with a much bigger budget because those characters look pretty lame on Arrow.

This is a good point. I don't mind Arrow at all, and I like the character. However, it's take on the rest of the DC Universe just won't work for me.

i like stephen amell as arrow he has really grown as an actor this first season just like henry he has that ruggedly handsome features:yay:

he is also 32 so he is henry's age range

I wouldn't say he sucks, but the show isn't on the same calibre as MOS

In fairness, you get pretty much as many takes as you like and a lot of direction in feature films. TV is much more rushed.

This.
I actually dont like Arrow at all so I hope it's not connected. I feel that they take a very interesting character and turn it into a Batman knock off in terms of tone, personality, and imo they even rip off some scenes. That and as you said a lot of the acting is not good at all. Also the CW elements of the show are terrible for me.

For Green Arrow, I think it shouldnt be that hard to get a good actor who could do the role justice. I think all these guys would be great :
-Jensen Ackles from Supernatural is my top choice. WHo also has a show on CW but actually acts his ass off in a lot of scenes
-Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy
-Joel Edgarton from The Great Gatsby
-Joel Kinnaman from The Killing
-Nikolaj Coster-Waldau from Game of Thrones

Hell Stephen Amell isnt a bad actor to me, it's just that I think his portrayal of Ollie is so rooted in imitating Bruce Wayne that he isnt being Green Arrow that much.

I do want, especially after not liking Arrow, a Green Arrow movie. He's a great character and we need more street level heroes getting movies

That's no excuse for anything. Not for acting. I didn't see wooden acting like that in the main characters of LOST, Sopranos, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Sons Of Anarchy, Mad Men, etc.

i dont see bad acting in arrow outside of katie cassidy

the rest are pretty damn solid they aint getting emmy's but they dont suck at all
