The Dark Knight COUNTDOWN: TDK Is Upon Us!

Slightly longer countdown for this UK boy. :waa:

But my first time at an IMAX, so that should compensate! :batman:

Can't believe how close we are! :wow:

I want to say this is taking forever, but I have to admit, time has FLOWN BY over the past few months. I feel like I just saw Iron Man yesterday and that was over six weeks ago. These last three weeks will come and go quickly. For me anyway! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again too, but this movie has me by the small hairs. Anyone seen that episode of South Park where Cartman freezes himself in anticipation of the Wii? Not sounding too crazy now haha.

"I'm.......coming.........Nin......ten.....do" Haha!

Great episode. Very relevant to The Dark Knight anticipation.

Looking back at the old Batman covers, reminds me of just how far this character has really come!

Hell, even going back and watching a movie like Forever will show the difference of what we have with TDK. It's like Travers said in his review of TDK:
It's enough to marvel at the way Nolan — a world-class filmmaker, be it Memento, Insomnia or The Prestige — brings pop escapism whisper-close to enduring art. It's enough to watch Bale chillingly render Batman as a lost warrior, evoking Al Pacino in The Godfather II in his delusion and desolation. It's enough to see Ledger conjure up the anarchy of the Sex Pistols and A Clockwork Orange as he creates a Joker for the ages.

It will be amazing.

It's getting so hard not to watch the videoes of the Dark Knight and to not read the spoilers. I need strength for these next 19 days!

Unrelated question but I have a little money right now and am wondering if I should subscribe to the Bat comics or pick up a graphic novel. I have Long Halloween, Dark Victory, and Face the Face. Any recommendations?
