The Dark Knight COUNTDOWN: TDK Is Upon Us!

THE DARK KNIGHT! MAN! After 3 LONG years of waiting, that wait is almost over!

I remember after seeing BB on opening night, my wife and I were talking about how cool the sequel was going to be. I was already speculating on who Nolan would get for the Joker.

TDK is going to be an experience that i'll never forget. I am even more excited to see this than I was the Batman 89 film and I was REALLY jazzed for that! I wound up seeing B89 like 5 times before it left the theaters and I have o doubt that i'll see TDK several times as well.

Midnight showing Thursday night, then the Friday afternoon showing, then, HOPEFULLY, see it in Dallas at the IMAX theater!

Every time I think about the upcoming movie I can't help thinking about just how tragic Heaths death is. Not because of his obviously awesome portrayal of the Joker but for his talent and what could have been. And, of course, his daughter and the rest of his family, friends and us fans.

Rest in peace Heath. And thanks.

My Facebook countdown is getting dangerously close to zero, I thought about it on the train today too: if I WANT to view this movie next week, there will literally be nothing stopping me. Damn I'm pumped.

I've been waiting for this week for 3 years now..it's finally here!

You know, I was just thinking about how projectors run automatically intstead of with someone up in the booth paying attention these days, and how all these studios don't let the theatres open the can and put together the reels for the midnight shows of big summer tentpole films until like a few hours before hand. Then I remembered by experience seeing TIH, ,and how about right dead center of the movie, the reel just stopped. We were waiting 10 min before I was finally the first person to actually go tell a manager, then the reel came back, stopped, came back, stopped, then came back for good. You know, knock on wood, but if something like that were to happen with TDK Thursday night, two things will subsequently happen.


1st, I will go Scanners (head explode!)

2nd, the audience will riot in the streets.
