Countdown to Wii launch!!!

Ok so maybe the 1UP Segment on the controls went some way to sort of convincing me, I skipped ALL the footage and spoiler parts of it and just watched the part where they were talking about the controls.

Flicking the remote to swing the sword seems lame, plus things like the sheild bash etc. It wasn't until recently that some sites have said the Wii version has better controls, before that it was 100 percent the standard version, and maping the sword button to the controller flick instead of the A button or whatever doesn't sound like a ground breaking change. Since I wasn't convinced by the controls before, I'm not sure what tweaks they really could have made to make the journalists dramatically impressed in the 11th hour (moneyhats?).

Recent reports have been surfacing that indicate Nintendo knowing long in advance that TP was going to be on Wii. The controls weren't a last minute adjustment, and the the hands-on impressions really, really show. I remember hearing this particular PODCAST from IGN stating the Wii version's incredible superiority over the GC version, even stating that they won't go back to playing the GC version ever.

I think I made a thread on it.

NICE avatar. You rule.

Anyway, yeah, please have faith! You won't be disappointed.:oldrazz:

Hmm. I was unsure if it was 11 or 10. I just checked my store hours too. It's definitely ten. Don't know where the hell I got 11 from. Sorry.

Everyone who reads this: It is just shy of 8:30 in Mass., and I just got back from my Toys 'R Us. I don't know about in your cities, but there was no one outside of mine, and was able to snag, not one, but TWO Wii pre-order tickets. Don't be complacent, though, you know your area better than I do; if you feel you must leave sooner than expected, do so.

May God have mercy on your soul should you scalp one on eBay :o

I can't believe it's only one week till launch. The time flew by and it just seems to me that it came really quick.

I think my friend's getting the Wii. I'll need to ask him what he thinks of it.

That sucks. Are you going to camp or something at launch? Maybe you won't have to.

I'm thinking 7.30 at Target next sunday. Its the only way.

You think? Goddamn it man. I just want my Wii...... if not, I'm going straight to Circuit City then Costco.

Indeed I do. Greatest store ever.

Go there. It's your best shot. Stores that require membership keep out the last minute idiots. Call to make sure they are getting Wiis and what time they open. Get there at least 2 hrs before they open.

Don't worry. I only picked it up for a friend.

Good.

Guys! You have to freeze me! I can't take the wait any longer!

That's a little bit drastic...just go to school, work or whatever it is you usually do. If you do it well and keep yourself busy, Sunday will be here in no time.

It was more of a point out to Cartman, but eh. Yeah, I can wait...I guess. :)
