Like SR's plane scene, and Spidey's train scene, if you could create a disaster, where a superhero would have to save the day, what would it be?...with any hero........

I thought he was going so fast he went back in time like the equivalence of time travel and faster-than-light travel

If one were able to move information or matter from one point to another faster than light, then according to special relativity, there would be an observer who sees this transfer as allowing information or matter to travel into the past. Additionally, faster than light travel along suitable paths would correspond to travel backward in time as seen by all observers. This results simply from the geometry of spacetime and the role of the speed of light in that geometry.

Superman--
Beginning of movie, astronaut has trouble, Superman comes out and saves him as he's drifting away from his shuttle/sattellite whatever.

Flash--
Just before the final fight with a speedster, Linda is thrown from the top of a building, the final act/battle starts and Flash battles furiously constantly, a process which takes about 20minutes. At the end of the fight, he runs back, asap to where it started and catches Linda just before she hits the ground.

Green Lantern--
(John ideally, but any GL can do something similar), the villain lets out carnage downtown, a building is tilting and falling over. John gets under it and grabs it with a beam of light, concentrating, he not only puts the building back, rebuilds it's connections, but fixes the building even better than it was before before flying off after the villain.
