This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]341952[/split]
We were discussing a haunting story from this site in the funny pictures thread that some members clamored an entire new thread for. The "creepypasta" site is for stories about supernatural occurences.
For all you Zelda fans, the latest story is about a college student who received a copy of Majora's Mask from an old man at a garage sale who called the buyer Ben. Turns out that last saved file is entitled Ben. What's referred to as the "Elegy of Emptiness statue" follows Link throughout the entire game, trying to send a message of how "Ben drowned". What makes it even more creepy are the videos as evidence. However, we can just assume it's all a hoax.
...but dammit it's fun to play along
The Slenderchildren would really be SlenderRakes, if we make Crimrag canon.
Then let's make it hap'n, Cap'n.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
So apparently the Slender game has two more maps: Sanatorium and Hospice. Both look pretty creepy, I think Hospice is the creepiest one though.
Is there a storyline to the game?
Not as far as I can tell, only page collecting. The atmosphere is perfect though.
Is the picture above a jumpscare?
Mine? No, its just pasta.
I don't like stuff like that, I got fooled before.
That whole story didn't creep me out until the end when they mentioned the Fillipino sound effects.
Got a link? All I can find is updates regarding glowsticks and lanterns. Sure you aren't thinking of the Half-Life 2 mod, Slender: Source coming out?
Youtube Slender Sanatorium, Slender Hospice, and now the new Slender Elementary
The Majora's Mask creepypasta is one of the older ones, and arguably the most popular video game creepypasta out there.
It was a hoax, but a decent one. It was somewhat entertaining, but I do think the creepiness was cliche and overblown.
Dunno if this has been posted here yet, but it was right on the front page of the inucreepypasta's new website. It's an oldie, but it was one of the more interesting ones to me.
The thing creepypasta writers gotta remember is to stop adding that last ****ing line to their creepypastas to get that final jolt. In just about every single creepypasta I've read, it kills the effectiveness of the storytelling almost completely.
Heh. I skip the last line or so in Creepypastas out of habit anyway.
That was pretty creepy.
at least this on managed to maintain the past tense, a lot of those creepy pasta writers can't write for sh** and it get's distracting.
So has anyone on the hype written their own creepy pasta?
I'm not that creative. My favorite ones are Suicide Mickey, the Spongebob one, and the Simpsons one. I like Licked Hand too, but I think that's more of an urban legend.
I'm drafting a pasta for Crimrag. I'm worried its too prosy though. I'll post the rough here when its finished.
That's cool, I'll have to check it out! I've been outlining a story about a washed up private investigator who is looking into the disappearance of his niece due to the Slenderman. But I've been in a funk for the last few months, so I doubt it'll ever see the day of light.
I dunno, I thought the Zelda one was better. At least that one had video LOL.
