This morning, we reported that the Korean Games Rating Board has rated a console version of Crysis for Xbox 360. But after a search of the ESRB's website, it appears that the game has been rated by the American ratings agency for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, all but confirming its release on both HD consoles.

Its console rating is identical to its PC release: Mature.

Crysis originally came out in 2007 on PC, and was considered a technological marvel for its time. While the highly-rated Crysis 2 hit Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC earlier this year, the original PC-only version remained absent from consoles.

We will update as more concrete information on the arrival of Crysis to console comes out

That's really strange. It's odd to see a port after so many years. I wonder if they will release it at budget price or pack in some extra content or something?

How do they expect to do this? I have the original Crysis on my PC and that PC cost 700 bucks of hardware and a year of my salary to run it on high settings. How do they expect to put it on a system that's half that price?

If they do...:cmad:

It might be like one of those Far Cry console offshoots. Modified to an extent where it's not even really the same game anymore.

Crysis 2 worked on consoles.

Really, who cares?

Its a 4 year old game. That same $700 system (assuming you got it when it was released) would be half price today. The game could easily run on the consoles. You didnt need the top of the line PC in order to run Crysis. It looked great even on the medium setting

lol I'm not playing Crysis until I get a computer that can run this mod:

Rumor has it EA is getting ready to announce something. Im guessing a Crysis Collection for the Consoles

I loved Crysis 2 on the Xbox. I'm all for more console Crysis

I hope Warhead eventually comes to the Consoles

Crysis will be a downloadable title for $19.99. But I bet they will do a Crysis 1 & 2 Retail Release eventually

How is this going to be a downloadable title? Crysis 1 was a huge game and needs a lot of space, more than XBLA limit.

This is very strange.

It's strange enough that they're porting it after releasing Crysis 2. But, everything else...weird.

I'll buy it, though.

Strange, I wonder if this will make other companies go back onto their older titles for budget prices like Call of Duty 2, Mass Effect, and Left 4 Dead for the PS3.

Hopefully now that Valve isn't a PS3 hater, they'll release fixed versions of separate Orange Box on PSN.

I doubt they'll do that. I just don't see the money justifying the time it would take to do that. Releasing all new games in L4D and L4D2, that i can see.
