Just some characters from one of my comic ideas I did in watercolor. I wanted to see what everyone thought of them. Negative critisism is just as welcome.

I guess it wasn't worth it on this board, there is noone with enough response in them to show their feelings one way or another.

Hey, Xeph. Welcome to the Hype! I like your style. The first two remind me of the early Street Fighter art from Capcom. And the samurai is just b1tchin'. Have you seen armor decorated like that or is the design purely your own? Either way, you show a knack for interpreting anatomy into both functional and expressive poses.

OK, gripes: the perspective on the sword in the first pic needs another pass. You made the skull and hilt bigger so that they seem to be closer to us, but the figure is a good distance away and they're too big (unless that's a reeeealy long katana.) Also, since you've got such a good handle on figure drawing (minus some polish that will come with time), time to work on faces. Your art will come to life when your subjects express real emotion. So, get a free-standing mirror, a fresh sketch book and a sharp HB pencil and get going. Don't forget, faces have muscles too, so don't shelve those anatomy books yet!

All-in-all, nice work.

-- END!

That's what I'm talking about! I understand, I do need polish, haven't done many paintings sofar so I have not tested my patience yet, maybe when that point comes it will be time for an action scene between two fighters.

What do you do crazy monkey? Are you an artist yourself? I would like to know more about your talents in general.
