Pity I'm so late to this party. Any chance people know where to purchase a really good Superman Costume now? Ricky's is gone, as well as it seemed hard to find any of the other places people were talking about in 07-08.

Any help would be appreciated. Some amazing costumes were here over the past 4 years.

Again try Ricky at Custom Costumes, unless JBrown can help as his costumes are the most accurate I've seen. To attach Ricky's you'll need to sow a piece of pleather material matching the diamond shape of the \S/ and superglue the emblem to this. If you order from Ricky he should include the pleather shape but best to check as he may only include this on request.

FYI I own a full SR costume and an emblem that I've attached to a t-shirt and both were ordered from Ricky.

I just bought a cape off of ebay for my custom superman costume. I will post a picutre on here when I get it. Sadly though I don't know when I will have time or money to get the other parts in need to complete it. But thats ok cause I know will find time to finish it.

hi guys im brand spanking new here and i thought id introduce my self : im a huge superman fan always have been and always will be my mum told me that i was making her draw superman for me 24/7 until i could do it for my self i like seeeing superman redesigns as much as the old suit however in the movies the original-ish suit should stay none of the superman returns costume appealed to me but maybe some of you could point out facts that i realy didnt see ... also i hav recently tried to contact the designer of this superman redesign

i would really like to tackle this costume and look foward to the challenge if the designer allows me to go forth and bring it to life so maybe this could look cool what do you guys all think about this design and are there any tips for making a superman costume that are quintessential

By the way what is the origin of superman costume?

the origin of the suit if this hasnt yet been answered is that is is made out of nearly indestructable material which was the blankets they found in supermans ship when he came to earth and his mum told him were to use his heat vision to cut and sew the strong mateerial

just a quick update to say that brohawk has given consent for me to make his costume and that i will post pics of the costume being made from scratch every now and again until i finish it i will start producing as soon as i get materials

Here is my 2nd attempt at a Supes costume.....nearly 4 years apart from the 1st attempt! Almost complete, waiting on boots I ordered, tweak the cape a bit and figure out if I want to keep the belt, make a new one or order one. I have a 2nd lycra top coming in a couple weeks and am going to make a more classic supes, with a gold and red "s" symbol (pictured below) with a gold belt and gold cape shield. I'll have 2 Superman costumes to wear when I got to the Metropolis Superman Celebration for the 1st time this year!

Mine is homemade. The Returns "S" is craft foam glued onto the cape.

Here is the start to my Thor. Going for an Ultimates/616 Hybrid. Waiting for a helmet in the mail to customize and working on the cape this weekend!

Hoping to have this finished up for the Superman Celebration next month, don't see why I shouldn't. Still finishing up the cape, just taped it on for now to see how it looked! One problem is the helmet. No matter what I try, I can't get one to turn out right....or decent at all. So I'm looking for a helmet....if anyone has any ideas or knows of anyone looking to sell or trade one lemme know.
