Cyclops fans we lost, my 2 cents

I for one am glad that they killed him off. In actuality I am glad for many reasons, and some may not be what you think.

First of all I am going to say that I personaly don't like the character, and think that he is the ONE character that the majority of an audience want to see dead. So if he is killed and the story still remains as good as it apears, than I as an X-fan, will be happy.

On another note, I think that there may be a specific reason for his "death". In the old X-Factor comic books, I was under the impression that a good deal of the X-factor memebers were believed to be dead, and if this is so, it explains alot. Now while I don't like the character, I would LOVE to see his death played out in this way, and possibly see an X-Factor spin off. I think it would be a brilliant, money making, idea!

I dont know if the Majority of the audience would be happy, maybe it would'nt bug the general audience at all becasue these films have'nt established what kind of leader Cyclops truly is. as for Wolverine have no problem with him being popular and taking the greatest percentage of screen time. But when you Kill off the Leader of the Xmen, and then have Wolverine take his leadership role, that IMO is just disrepectful to fans of Cyclops.

Like it or not, there are folks who just aren't as torn up about the whole thing as you all seem to be. There are folks out there who are *gasp* actually looking forward to seeing this thing. And they will see it, and enjoy it, and move on to the next film they are looking forward to.

It's just a movie. Do not take it personal. Do not let it ruin your life or cause you all to lose sleep. It's fiction, not real life. Cyclops is a fictional character. No matter how much you love the character, it just ain't worth getting an ulcer over.

And I ask again, why do we need another Cyclops thread?

Ok, be angry. But my God, it isn't the end of the world. One character gets shafted and suddenly it's time to beat up on all the other characters? The actors? Someone says that they aren't bothered by the news and they get ridden out of a thread on a rail? All of this foot stomping and chest beating is just not worth it.

Wolverine fans and Cyclops fans tend to clash, because Wolverine fans love to gloat and Cyclops fans don't take crap.
