Because I read somewhere that she discards her staff after Jakku, because it's not special, it's just a tool and that she has no use for once she gets a blaster and Luke's blue lightsaber, I think it was **************? Not sure. But if that is true and this is one of the last scenes why does she still have the staff that is said to be useless? I'm thinking that the staff is more special than we are lead to believe.

She leaves the staff on the Falcon when they go to Maz's castle. It's just a staff though. Harloff and Campea are great, but their staff theories are ******ed. It's a weapon she's comfortable with, so it makes sense that she still wants to hold on to it.
