Did we really get the truth about Rey's parents in TLJ though? Kylo Ren was clearly trying to break Rey down and **** with her emotionally and mentally (and he's not the most stable or clear headed of individuals either). What makes anyone think his words about her parents were the whole truth?

It's important to note that Kylo doesn't say Rey's parents were nobody, she does.


There's wiggle room in the scene to change the outcome, but it's going to feel weird. I'm hoping JJ seizes the opportunity to develop Rey beyond what her lineage is. She could do with an interesting new challenge.
