i don't know why i put spoiler tags on that. it's not spoilery, unless you've yet to see the first trilogy.
Ok checked now. On this issue I would just assume that you guys are right rather than me as I have avoided all the info that probably would have made this clear to me, cheers.

After a few hours reflecting on the film, Daisy is without doubt the standout of this movie. It's one of those performances which will be career defining. The biggest compliment I can give her is that I can't see anyone else in the role of Rey.

what if she's benicio del toro's character's kid? :wow:
to add to this,
the only downside would be everyone thinking it's too much of rehash of the first trilogy if benny's character is a baddie.

Agreed. I loved her in the film.

Can someone confirm for me on whether...

Finn and Rey become an item at the end of the film and whether it felt natural? The only reason why I'm curious about it is because I don't want a bad rehash of the romance between Anakin and Padme when it comes to sappy lines and strange character development.

No, he's injured and unconscious. She kisses his forehead, says goodbye and that they will meet again. That's all.

Well, there's a moment where it looked like they were going to cross the bridge into romance, but she ends up giving him the "just friends" hug. Quite frankly, I thought Finn had a little more traction with Poe. :oldrazz:

As for Rey in general, I echo jmc's sentiments that she's the breakout character/actor in this film. She was quite the marvel. And Daisy infuses Rey with such a innocence and warmth, that if they go with the Aizen twist with a certain character in future movies, it's going to hit me hard.

I am in love with Daisy after watching the Force Awakens, highlight of the film for me. :hrt:

I think everyone is in love with her. If only she spoke in her sexy London accent in the film, lol.

I saw some other clips, and i'm gonna go out on a limb and say she's luke's daughter.

Daisy was a-ma-zing. She acted the hell out of a role that was done full justice.

Finn and Rey gave me sibling vibes in terms of how they feel about each other. Thoguh Rey might end up a lonely Jedi, like Luke.

I thought she/Daisy/Rey did have/use an English accent in the trailers but she speaks like a regular American in the movie itself?

Her accent is still English but it more upper class English. Her native accent is more a London accent.

I liked her accent in the film, felt like royalty and power.

She was fantastic. A young woman full of inner and outer strength. I imagine those with daughters would feel very proud to hold her up as a role model.

SO great.

I can honestly say that Rey has been my favourite of all three of the main characters (Anikan/Luke/Rey). I really felt for her. Daisy did a fantastic job of pulling the audience along with her.

Rey Parentage speculation/spoiler

Now that Rey found Luke, I think Luke and Rey are going to have a empire strikes back moment of "Rey...I am Your Father" only its coming from the light side rather than the dark. To me, that's to prefect and also why they didn't reveal her parentage in this film.

We need us Space Maury to tell us who the father is.

Eh. I'd personally dislike it if Rey turned out to be Luke's daughter. The whole hidden parent things has been to death since The Empire Strikes Back. If they did it here again it'd be copying the same mistakes Abrams made with Khan in Into Darkness. And I hated Into Darkness. Keep the **** that sunk that movie away from Star Wars.

They are friends. They might become more than friends in the sequels or they may not. If there was a romance between them in the future I think there is enough chemistry and natural bond between the characters to pull it off far better than Anakin and Padme.

What would you like instead:

A miracle child created by the Force to combat the awakening of Snoke?

Also Space Maury uses a Midichlorian DNA Kit, Jedi Approved since the Fall of the Empire!
