When my friend texted me about this rumor (it is a rumor as of now, right?) I got EL mixed with Jessica Biel. So... Yeah I was pissed. But he set me straight. I think EL could do a fine Janet, but I just feel that she should be an actress that can do idealistic and bubbly more. I really want a live action Jan like she was in EMH, but maybe EL could do that too. It would be nice to have a solid statement. Who knows... Maybe she's in talks for someone else and not Jan?

I could see her as Erica Sondheim. I actually think Rashida Jones is better suited to Erica than Janet.

I like Rashida Jones but I don't really see her as the bubbly outgoing party girl 616 Janet. I'm not interested in seeing the boring ultimate scientist version of Janet in films.

i'm somewhat certain that Evangeline Lilly won't be playing some boring scientist. i wonder if Erica Sondheim will be worked into the script somehow.

I don't know about the spiderwoman rumours. It may be expanding the universe too quickly without giving each character a real point.

That said I suppose they can make an analogy of antman controlling insects but an errant spider gets mixed up near Jessica Drew leading to a potential for her origins. She's unlikely to get her own origin movie anytime soon so I suppose if they want to do that that can work

she's not jessica drew. and i'm not sure why people are taking this speculation (i can't even call it a rumor) seriously. knowing what we know about Edgar Wright, why the hell would he complicate this movie by introducing another unconnected superheroine into it? he's not even using a supervillain.

Evangeline Lilly was supposed to be in talks for a role in Ant-Man but that is still no guarantee that she would take or get the role anyways. We probably won't really know if she got or took the role until filming starts.
