That 10,000 BC scene was... something.
Is that when that took place? It seemed intentionally ambiguous as to when that took place. And why it was even there.
and the water too, right? So the fireman isn't religious but he and other emergency workers purge the town of misfits and outsiders to keep the town pure?
.Now it seems a second rapture took his daughter?
Interesting.
Idk the exact date. I was just referencing the movie 10,000 BC, cause that's what it made me think of. It was far back tho. The only other possibility is that it's far far far in the future. Which knowing Damon that is a legitimate possibility.
I thought it was some movie the characters were watching.
That could be it. I didn't get a good look at it. Water seems significant. In the opening silhouette images you refer to, I believe the last image had water droplets running down and they sell water in tubes.Oh ok I wasn't sure if you still thought they were watching a movie or if that was just your initial thought when it started.
Do y'all think there is some significance to the silhouettes of the people and the letters of the title in the new intro being predominantly field with images of galaxies, stars, and the sky? Is that just because of the rapture thing or could Damon be attempting to hint at something. One of the first things in the episode is also the camera focusing on the night sky and then the cavewoman looks up at the sky.
And something else I noticed, at the end I don't think the water was "raptured" with the girls. There looked like there was a hole in the river bed. I think a hole opened up and it pulled the water down and the girls got sucked down. That can actually happen and does happen at some lakes.
