The gap between seasons 3 & 4 was because of negotiations on how many episodes and other contract stuff. They sorted that out and so seasons 5 and beyond should come more regularly.

I have to catch up with the newest episode but I've been watching it. I feel like it doesn't get the same attention on these boards as a show like The Mandalorian or Loki or Game of Thrones might is because, while popular, Rick and Morty isn't really an "event show". I'll check in with this thread every so often but not on a weekly basis like the previously mentioned shows. That being said, season 5 is off to a solid start. The post credits scene in episode 2 killed me.

I read a few reviews of last night's episode of how it Planetina and Morty's relationship wasn't believable. I know Morty had sex with an android, mermaids but I don't think Morty has ever been in love. Yes, he's pined over Jessica but it's not like he was in a mutual relationship with anyone so I really liked Morty's story and even Beth at the end.

Edit: I forgot about the unnamed girlfriend that was re'done thanks to Jerry.

I'm all about Dafoe as Rick (ESPECIALLY after seeing The Lighthouse) but Tom Holland is more of a Morty to me for some reason.

Cause he’s got Michael J Fox vibes and Morty is based on Marty. So it all checks out.

Probably too old at this point though.

That said, I’d love a Rick and Morty (animated) movie somewhere down the line.

So Rick's Beth is dead which makes sense considering he left one in the Cronenberg universe and the one where the squirrels were after them and the whole thing with Clone Beth.
