For sure. Even though I tend to prefer the more "one-off" episodes of Rick and Morty, this was really well done.

I like how everything fit nicely.

I'm just going to speculate that Evil Morty was Rick's first Morty, referred to by Kyle by Mr. Nimbus? But that Morty became too smart for Rick's liking or went rogue?

Night Summer was creepy as hell. What the Night Family wanted was pretty reasonable which made Rick’s stubbornness and unwillingness all the more comedic. I still have to watch this past Sundays episode though.

I think the old refrain of "disappointed to hear he is abusive and got away with it for years" has become worn out. It's still true but at this point there aren't many people left who have untarnished reputations in the industry.

It just royally sucks, because the animation industry is so small, so if an abuser has power, there is little to be done. Hell, Vic Mignogna was an open secret of being a pest, with many cons having to prep their staff about him , for decades till the damn broke. Hopefully, with an actual arrest the damn will break.

Sadly, Harmon still has his position after stalking and harrassing a writer under him. And do any of us trust Zaslav on doing the right thing?

I think if they fire Roiland of course they'd blame it on this but it'd really be more because the show peaked in popularity five years ago and they'd be more afraid of Adult Swim losing sponsors if they kept him. Maybe I'm just being cynical but I know that's how Zaslav thinks.

The Zaslav type of guy would definitely dismiss Roiland's behavior as unimportant except it would impact the bottom line and Zaslav is all about saving every nickel and dime he can after the merger. He would have Roiland canned in an instant if it meant losing money, otherwise he wouldn't care.

I assumed Roiland was doing a lot/most of the writing, but apparently he was only doing voicework for the last couple of seasons. So I think they could just do a recast without it hurting the show.

Rick & Morty is one of the biggest animated shows in the world right now, no way they would cancel it unless they absolutely have to.

Wish I could find the tweet and remember where I saw it, but there was stuff like an audio clip of him saying “If a 14-year-old girl has the body of a 40 year old, can you blame me for being horny?”, a tweet of him getting mad at someone for getting older, and a text message to someone using the f-word slur for a gay person. That kind of stuff.

Maybe I've seen that. Him using the f-word wasn't a one time thing. He uses it a lot, I've seen it in several of his messages... (*assuming it's all real)
