Daniel Craig for Hellblazer.

Well do I really need to explain? They need to start the series over and get it intune with the graphic novel, and I see the perfect John Constantine in Daniel Craig:

I liked Constantine. Based off the little material I read, it lined up with the novel just fine. I think Hellblazer would be a good title for the sequel, though.

Daniel Craig? Not so much. He's the 'celebrity' choice. Anytime I see someone post someone famous, or recently famous, for a role, I dunno. I squirm.
None of those choice ever happen, and I tend not to agree anyway. Reeves may not be blonde, but he played a good jerk just like Constantine always was.

The problem with Constantine is that so much of the comic is about day to day life and the culture in London, and the movie was set in L.A.

You have to admit that it was a fairly interesting side of L.A.
This is excuse simply because it's an American film. I suppose that's one of the things I don't notice for not reading much of it.

Heh, maybe he should travel to London for the next one. I don't even know if they're planning another, honestly. I thought they were though.

They do want to do a sequel...As does Keanu. But, nothing new.

I like this choice . It's IMO far better then Jude Law as JC. But even so i love the Constantine movie. Yes despite the fact that it stars keanu , is set in LA and alot of things are changed considerably...i still love it.
I've been buying alot of Hellblazer graphic novels and the stories seems to fit the world of the movie rather well.

idk, everytime I see Keanu I just.. get that .. you know..

"Hey dude! Like! Agent Smith, Be Excellent to each other."

Haha , lol.True true alot of people get the matrix vibe.
But i enjoy both the novels and the movie even though alot of things are changed. IF they ever made a sequel , they shoudln't look any further then "All His Engines". It's perfect material :woot:

I havent read very much Hellblazer, but Craig seems to fit the role better than Keanu. He's blonde, he's English, and he just seems like the bigger badass. But lets keep Craig as Bond for now, shall we?

and Keanu Reeves isn't?
I would've agreed with that 2-3 years ago. Craig is a new-name hype though. Maybe not as well-known as Reeves yet, but he falls under the "He's so hot right now" category. Reeves has been around a while, and I think he's a better actor than people give him credit for.

"It's harder than it looks," said the film student.

Eh, wouldn't mind Craig for Constantine, but I wouldn't mind Reeves doing the role again, either. I think he did a good John, and if you read the adaptation of it from John Shirley, you can see that most of his comic storylines can be adapted into this slightly different universe.

Hell, they showed so little of his boyhood, you could get away with saying that he was born and raised as a kid in London. :o

The accent would come into play with that, though. He very obviously isn't English. It's not a bad idea, otherwise. He'd have to have been living in LA long enough to have all those friends (who got knocked off), though. He seemed very established in that area, and that's the sort of thing that doesn't come quickly.

I understand that he shouldn't have an English accent--I've seen Coppla's Dracula movie. My idea was he was born in London and was there until he was 5 or something and still has things there he visits.

when I read Hellblazer in my head John has an London accent not really a cockney accent just a general londener kind of one.

Constantine looks more like Gordon Ramsey these days anyway :woot:

Sting should've play Hellblazer. He isn't a bad actor despite being a singer. Not to mention Alan Moore claim he based off Hellblazer look on him, so why not use the guy who was the insipiration(sp?) look for Hellblazer? ;)

I'd rather see Francis Laurence direct a Constantine sequel with Keanu after I Am Legend comes out.

Thats actually a really good idea.

LOLOLOL As if they'd ever make a another Hellblazer film.

Was'nt john constantine born in Liverpool??

Yeah, he was Born in Liverpool, raised in London, works in London.

not gonna happen, as the sequel is apparently getting talked over and Keanu wants to come back...the movie was fine anyway.

It was a good movie, but it seems that the character was completely different from the graphic novel as I have read
