Well ****, I'm off to try and find that part from BvS soundtrack... so much for sleeping tonight.
Elfman has done some great work in the past, but he hasnt impressed me in a long time. I'm not going to give his latest material a pass just because he delivered great material decades ago.
I played "Friends and Foes" once again and part from 1:50 to 2:10 is definitely music from BvS, I just can't remember from which track.
It sounds like a mashup of Spiderman and BTAS to me. But I could be wrong.
Nah, that little part was definitely in BvS, I'm convinced. It had more pronounced basses in BvS, but that's the melody for sure. I think it's sometime after the batmobile chase scene, though I wouldn't place my bets on it.
Thats interesting. Before writing my post you quoted, I rewatched the scene when Lex arrives at LexCorp after its been ransacked by Batman to see if thats when that music was playing. These scenes occur fairly close to each other in the film, so perhaps were looking in the right general place.
^ Yeah..but Disney films in the 90s had great scores..so..

It sounds like old-school Danny Elfman, which I like!![]()
Lion King had an amazing score. Wonder who it was composed by.....Whoever he was, he's an amazing composer.![]()

Honestly..I liked it when Zimmer cared more about developing lietmotifs than creating a mood. It's like he's now addicted to creating a big sound rather than a memorable one.
On the other hand..I think very few tearjerk like Elfman.

Which brings me back to JL score..I think at this point I'd rather hear a full-tilt Elfman score than a full-tilt Zimmer one..but I have a feeling we won't get either![]()
Aside from Elfman's Batman score, his Spiderman score is also the best up to this day (Homecoming doesn't have anything that even comes close)

Interestingly, I first thought of Lex scenes before the aftermath of the chase scene came to mind. I thought it actually might be when Bruce looks at the map following that GPS and kryptonite arrives to Lex's facility, but nope, that's not it. It's either one of Lex's or Batman's scenes, I'm pretty sure. It is quite a short part so it's not that easy to find, but damn it, I'll find it.
Could it be at the very beginning during the horror-inspired scene where Batman brands the human trafficker?

Might be... I'm finishing my last glass of whiskey as I prepare to hit the sack, but I'll look up some scenes and go through the soundtrack tomorrow. Those twenty seconds of music won't elude me anymore.![]()
Haha well good luck. Scotch, bourbon, or rye?
Irish, actually. Jameson.
