Well ****, I'm off to try and find that part from BvS soundtrack... so much for sleeping tonight.

Elfman has done some great work in the past, but he hasnt impressed me in a long time. I'm not going to give his latest material a pass just because he delivered great material decades ago.

Can’t say I’m too worried about the overall score. While I might not particularly care for a couple of tracks, I don’t think there’s a single Elfman superhero score that I don’t like. Even his Hulk work is stillpretty good.

I played "Friends and Foes" once again and part from 1:50 to 2:10 is definitely music from BvS, I just can't remember from which track.

It sounds like a mashup of Spiderman and BTAS to me. But I could be wrong.

Nah, that little part was definitely in BvS, I'm convinced. It had more pronounced basses in BvS, but that's the melody for sure. I think it's sometime after the batmobile chase scene, though I wouldn't place my bets on it.

That’s interesting. Before writing my post you quoted, I rewatched the scene when Lex arrives at LexCorp after it’s been ransacked by Batman to see if that’s when that music was playing. These scenes occur fairly close to each other in the film, so perhaps we’re looking in the right general place.

After more listens, I actually prefer the more generic Heroe's theme since I can see that fitting in somehow, as bland as it is. But the FoF theme sounds like something from a 90s Disney animated film....

Interestingly, I first thought of Lex scenes before the aftermath of the chase scene came to mind. I thought it actually might be when Bruce looks at the map following that GPS and kryptonite arrives to Lex's facility, but nope, that's not it. It's either one of Lex's or Batman's scenes, I'm pretty sure. It is quite a short part so it's not that easy to find, but damn it, I'll find it.

I guess i'm in the minority when I say I think the track is quite memorable, moody, and adult sounding. I guess i'm missing what everyone else is hearing.

I'm only just listening to Friends and Foes. But I dug Hero's Theme for several listens, and it is becoming memorable, but it needed a few listens to sink in.

This Friends and Foes track though, that's got some weight to it. I'm more excited about this score than I have been for an Elfman score in years.

Lion King had an amazing score. Wonder who it was composed by.....Whoever he was, he's an amazing composer. :oldrazz:

Honestly..I liked it when Zimmer cared more about developing lietmotifs than creating a mood. It's like he's now addicted to creating a big sound rather than a memorable one.

On the other hand..I think very few tearjerk like Elfman.

Which brings me back to JL score..I think at this point I'd rather hear a full-tilt Elfman score than a full-tilt Zimmer one..but I have a feeling we won't get either :csad:

Aside from Elfman's Batman score, his Spiderman score is also the best up to this day (Homecoming doesn't have anything that even comes close)

Aw man, I love “A Really Big Web” that track is filled with so many emotions. From the sadness of Peter walking away from MJ again, to the inspirational heroicness as he swings away after watching her embrace another man.

Really some of Elfman’s best work. My favorite track on that album.

I actually would love if Homecoming 2 uses Elfman's score. His Spidey stuff was so damn good.

Anyway, the full soundtrack for JL comes out on Nov. 10.
The reactions should be interesting...

Love Elfman's work on Spider-man.

His Heroes score is decent, and so was the one that played during the premiere. I'll try to ignore the friends and foes one.

If his rest of the score somehow acts in the background and adds to the scenes, and doesnt distract too much, I'll be satisfied. I dont expect too much from it. As long as it doesnt drag my expeirience down I'm good. Forgettable is better than horrible.

Could it be at the very beginning during the horror-inspired scene where Batman brands the human trafficker?

Might be... I'm finishing my last glass of whiskey as I prepare to hit the sack, but I'll look up some scenes and go through the soundtrack tomorrow. Those twenty seconds of music won't elude me anymore. :argh:
