All my doubts were erased as soon as I heard the Friends and Foes track. He is taking it to another level and making it more special as clearly evident from the new clip. Danny Elfman is the man! We're not worthy!

Let's hope that the damn thing leaks early xD

you can actually hear the Batman theme at 1:10

I must say I like hearing it, but not sure how I feel about it being in this movie, I liked Zimmer more personally

I love Zimmer's scores for MoS, BvS, Dark Knight etc.

After him, my personal favorite choices would be:
Audiomachine & Two Steps from Hell

Both are writing mainly trailer music but I would imagine that the result would have been phenomenal.

Another interesting choice would have been Alexandre Desplat if you wanna bring something totally fresh and keep the more 'classic' approach composing style at the same time.

Re-using old themes from 80's - 90's probably will not be a good approach for Justice League.
Again this is my personal opinion :) :)

Day one buy for me... first time in five years that I've been excited for a DC soundtrack.

I don't hear any Batman theme around 1:10.

Listen closely, Danny Elfman's theme is in there, slowed down but it's instantly recognizable if you know what you're looking for.

You are right. Now I hear the exact resemblance, but still think Elfman didn't do that on purpose and it's just the motiff that sounds similar.

Has to be on purpose, listen from 1:28 till 1:35, sounds like more of his Batman theme to me.

I do think he incorporated it pretty nicely, but now that I've heard it I can't unhear it :)

I agree. Lost all consideration for differing opinions after I read that. The WW and Superman themes are equal parts beautiful and inspiring.
Lost all consideration for differing opinions b/c I don't share your opinion. :whatever: Both of those themes (especially for Wonder Woman) do little to nothing for me. Good for you and others who find both themes inspiring though.

What's ironic to me is that I always felt Batman's BvS theme homages Elfman. (think the moment when young Bruce starts floating)

I've managed to keep myself from listening tot hose released tracks. i don't want the Williams moment spoiled for me.

Not too fussed if Elfman hasn't included much else from Zimmer/Junkie XL. Obviously the MoS theme is great & I hope the WW theme is there too.

Desplat was brought in to help Williams, love that Elfman will be using his theme it stands to reason if you use Williams you use his theme too. We are lucky to get that.

Desplat? Don't you mean Giacchino, slight correction there.

Yeah....no.

The only reason I'd want Elfman to use the Wonder Woman rhythm, which I believe he confirmed he was using, is if he can somehow turn into a full-fledged theme. It's not a particularly adaptable theme outside of small action moments if I'm being honest.

The full on WW theme only works for action scenes but in WW they have the baseline of it in many scenes.

Didn't find anything "cocky" or "arrogant" about what Elfman said. If he believes his Batman theme is the only Batman theme that's his opinion. At least he complimented Zimmer's contributions from TDKT trilogy. That was the opposite of what Zimmer did while promoting TDK when he made a snarky remark about Elfman's theme being "jolly". Also Elfman's Batman theme is an actual theme compared to TDKT, which consisted of motifs, and BvS, which was mostly repetitive rhythmic pounding of notes. Can't blame Elfman for ignoring what Hans and Junkie came up with for Batfleck, which left a lot to be desired. It's easily my least favorite of the Batman themes I've heard, which is saying something with how much I've criticized TDKT scores. It wouldn't bother me if Elfman also ditched the MOS and Wonder Woman themes/motifs since I don't care too much for those either.

Agreed. Zimmer's music for the Dark Knight trilogy was great but Elfman still wrote the Batman theme. I don't think he's being cocky, but he does have the right to be. All of this is just making me more excited for the score.

I don't want a full on return of the 89' Batman theme, just a little nod to it in the new theme would be nice.
Batman doesn't even have a real theme in BvS or in the TDKT, atleast not one that causes a mayor brain tapeworm in my ears.
They have reverenced other Batman 'history' from different media in BvS so why not in the music?
