Not sure if that has been posted but on youtube a user has posted 13 scenes with Elfman's original scores:

You can listen to the music that Raimi didn't like and was eventually replaced, changed, altered etc...

Some of these I sympathize with Raimi on not liking. If you click on one of them you can see what Elfman has intended for what became the "Raindrops" montage. On the other hand, Elfman deserved a bit more room to breathe.

Yeah, many of us know about that. It's good stuff.

Thank Danny Biker. He's a member here.

First I"ve heard these. Some were actually nice changes of pace like the fire scene. Others were just made more grandiose or changed tempos like the return of the goblin. But a few like both music montages, especially the raindrops sequence, were definetly better for replacement.

I know Elfman has a big ego though, so this probably bruised it a bit which is too bad, because I think he was sorely missing in the SM3 score which outside of the birth of Sandman/forgivness music was lacking.

I also noticed some his rather mediocre music for the raindrops sequence though ended up in C&TCF though.

His rather mediocre music is equivalent to Young's best work in Spider-Man 3

Touché.

Albeit I did like the Sandman birth scene's music quite a bit though.

Young's train sequence is much better than Elfman's. So are the rest. Elfman wouldn't take any constructive criticism. Young stepped in and did an amazing job.

The score for SM2 is one of the best, and credit goes to both Young and Elfman.

Young's scores are much richer. many different sections doing different things, unlike ottman scores. I Like The Venom Theme and the muic suring Sandman's transformation was beautiful. His theme was just annoying tho. The black spidey theme was catchy as hell and i loved that, but the overall score was lousy. great themes, great ideas, occasionally great music, but it didnt always compliment what was going onscreen.
