DAREDEVIL REBOOT: How would you do it?

Personally, I still can't figure out exactly why the Daredevil movie was received so poorly by us fans. As far as the things I didn't like, I honestly don't think I could've done any better.

But most fans just don't feel that way, so in an effort to better understand the situation, I ask: HOW WOULD YOU DO IT?

Lets see. About the only things I liked about the movie were Kingpin, Foggy and DD's suit. Everything else was bad. Crap story, no chemistry between Affleck and Garner, crap pop metal soundtrack instantly dated the movie. Oh, and I hate Affleck with every fiber of my being.

I think Garner also failed to be Elektra because she was suppose to have.....curves. And the only thing that you saw more than some horrible attempt at cleavage is her man jaw.

I'd say switch Affleck to Elektra and Garner to Daredevil and it would be a hell of a lot closer.

Personally, I love Ed Norton, so I would say he should have been Daredevil.......no other reasoning is required.

Yea, I think his Daredevil would definitely be like the good old school DD. I think the fact that he seems to play a different type of character in all of his movies just proves his versatility.

I miss the DD that would give Wolvie a run for his money.

At least he is going to be correcting the Hulk.....although I am not sure Banner was the best choice for Norton given any other superheroes he could have played.....but we'll see. It'll be like Fight Club 2, lol.

I haven't seen a better female actor than Garner, when it comes down to action and looking even remotely believable.

The film however stunk like a seven days dead raccoon's butt.

Guy Pearce is fine for DD. Actually many can be good candidates for DD since the requirement is just a lanky 6'0" plus minus guy. And the ability to kick butt.

Thought the film was okay actually and better than X3, hulk and both FF films. Your talk of a darker, more brutal DD leads to one thing and one thing only and they were never gonna greenlight an R rated version of this. Hey, I would love to see some serious asskickery on the brutal side myself, a full on saving private ryan caliber Captain America per se, but that level of violence in a superhero film keeps a huge number of your target audience outside the velvet rope. As for Norton, who is great, he didn't look all that tough in everyone says I love you and frankly derek ended up getting it in the backside from REAL big, brutal guys and crying in the nurse's station.

It could've been ten times better. I wish it would've received the kind of treatment that Spidey or even Hulk is receiving.

By the way, Matt Damon is my top pick for Daredevil. He'd be fantastic and he's got Murdock's look and height.

p.s. a quick look of DD's yellow suit would be cool to see in the beginning before he changes to the red. I'm all for a remake and doing it right!

Habit? No. But he's done it in the past. He is opposed to The Punisher's brand of whole sale slaughter, but he's not against killing in self defense when there's no other options. The only violent act he's commited that I'd consider murderous is when he intentionally dropped Bullseye off a building while he was still in grief over Elektra's death. Bullseye did barely survive, but Matt had the full intention of killing him at the time.
