Daredevil = Underrated

he's the kingpin, of course he's over the top. would you prefer him to say please dudem don t betray me Im an ace boss

I still don't understand all the love for the director's cut. A few added scenes can't change the fact that it was completely mediocre.

it's not a few added scene. It's a whole key plot point that is given back to the movie. It totally change, not only the pace, but also the story. It's like watching two different movies. The tone is not the same anymore. For instance, instead of Matt staying in bed with Elektra when he hears someone screaming, he goes out. That's a big change.

Right. It went from a 103 minute film to a 133 minute film. That was a whole quarter of the film that got cut. That's a big difference.

He did it to intimidate Wesley (to keep him in line) and Natchios (who he knows is watching, and is about to screw him over).

He just found out that 'somebody talked' so he did it to keep the rest of his troops in line through fear of him.

Just watched the DC of this tonight funnily enough, the DC is a much better movie than the TC, which was below average, but yeah the DC isnt an amazing movie by any stretch of the imagination. Its decent, and for the time pretty good, but it hasnt dated well, especially the CGI, and while there were some really good creative choices made, some were poor.

Its not a bad movie, but not a particularly bad one. I do like how dark it is and that it dares to show blood and death, I miss that from many CBM's that come out now. And the bar fight is still a superb action scene, with the extended fight with Kingpin still being pretty good as well.

Why I didn't like the theatrical version:

1. Was butchered in editing
2. Casting of Jennifer Garner as Elektra
3. The "PG13" interpretation of Bullseye (although I think Farrell could do the character justice if given enough freedom)

The first point is by far the worst. When I saw the director's cut years after seeing the theatrical version in the theater I actually liked it a bit, and the only thing I found really annoying was Jennifer Garner's lack of range. If you consider the director's cut and add a little bit more grit, a tougher Elektra, and a crazier Bullseye I would probably have liked it a lot the first time around and bought the DVD.

I actually find Daredevil overrated. The fact that even 1 person in the world rates it highly makes it overrated in my books.

I don't think Farell does Bullseye justice at all. He's almost nothing like bullseye, characterwise. He's fun to watch, but he ain't bullseye.

to me, the DC is way better than Thor, Thor 2 or Iron Man 2. ok, it doesn't mean much, considering how bad those are, but still...
