he is smaller than in BB. who knows why. i think we wont get a scene ithout hes shirt. that was already in BB to show us that he trains very hard. if we will get in every movie a scene like that it will look like a MTV movie. IMO t:

Hey it is no big deal you just being a typical concerned fan. But just have faith. If we can count on at least one thing from Bale is getting the right weight for the scenes that need it. I would trust Bale if he was wearing a huge ****ing Cosby sweater to that conference.

This is very true. One thing we need to remember is that rarely (if ever) is a movie filmed In chronological order. I can't imagine that there would be more than two (at the most) scenes of him in clothing that would reveal his size, and they could easily be some of the last footage filmed, giving Bale time to pack on some pounds...HOWEVER, with as hectic and demanding as a production like this is, I can't imagine that he would have the time or energy to put enough hours in the gym during production to pack on some pounds...HOWEVER, Let us not forget that plenty of footage of Bale in good shape could have been fimed during the production of BB, with the intent of inserting said footage into TDK.
Also, with the way Bale has altered his physique in the last 3-4 years, I would not be surprised if his doctor refused to provide any more "chemical assistance" in order for him to gain his muscle mass back for TDK. He has already stated publicly that his doc was quite upset with his weight loss/weight gain for the production of "The Machinest" through BB, and that it did affect his heart and possibly his kidneys somehow.
One thing that just about everyone praised Bale, Nolan, and the whole production for was the stand alone fact that Bale did get into great shape for the movie, aggravated by the fact that he was way underweight so close to production.
Also, Nolan et al know that as soon as Bale made a public appearance like this, the itraweb would be busy commenting on his appearance like we are now, and this was done intentionaly to spur interest in the movie; with the plan being to either pump him up later in production, or to use previously stated footage as mentioned above. In this day and age, no film is made without carefully planning public appearances, interviews, etc by the stars.

He is looking kinda skinny. He didn't have those hollow cheeks in BB. I guess they areen't going with the more fabricky suit if he's gonna be this little for the shoot. Unless they are going with a Spider-Man type suit wif da built-in muslces, but I was hoping I could give Bale props for having the most comic-accurate body in a comic film.
It's hard to tell with the loose t-shirt, but he could be back in American Psycho shape...Lean but ripped as hell...we'll see.
Didn't Bale at one time say he wanted to be about 20 pounds heavier for TDk than he was in BB?
Oh well, I ain't complaining, just wondering.

This is interesting. I think he'll probably have to gain some mass back (220lbs total) if he's to wear a BB type of suit again. He's probably working on it.

i dont want S:Tm where reeve looks bigger in one scenes. and you really notice it. this are that kind of mistakes that in 2007 should not be thee.
he had a lot of time for training. i just can not belive that he would bulk between filming.

he was certainly bigger during BB. though, remember he got pretty big and Nolan wanted to slim down, look more athletic. maybe he just went that route from the beginning this time.

yeah but this time there is no god ugly suit to lay doubt on. the man is in plain clothes-- his clothes. yeah sure the black shirt may be affecting how we view his build but still if my memory serves me correctly, he was bigger than that during his BB shoot.

i'm hoping on this as well. i think we need to see what the new suit looks like. if its more rubber armor like the BB suit, i can see why Bale is not making any effort to get bigger on the torso area, its just gonna get covered up by the molded rubbersuit, so whats the point, know what i mean?

He does look somewhat slimmer than in Begins. Although it is difficult to tell , the shirt doesnt give us an idea of his definition through the upper body, just the arms. Looks like he's lost a little weight though.

I'd say TDK Batman will be what Nolan had in mind.

Remember, Bale was 20lbs before shooting BB. He packed on the weight, and like I said, was asked to back off.

He's definitely leaner, but I don't think its as much as the photo suggests. The angle on that pic and the loose shirt makes him look deceptively thinner. But, I'm guessing he's actually about 10 lbs. leaner than he was in BB.

And before the flaming starts, i don't think it's a bad thing. I believe he was too thick in BB. Besides, once he puts on the suit, it's not goning to matter how big he is.

Well first I don't mind him being smaller as long as he's ripped and tight. Specially if the suit is thinner. Atleast he'll have more definition. In terms of mass if he has a light fabriclike suit there will be some muscle padding to give him the right tone/definition look. So he doesn't have to be that big really if you look at it that way.

However I disagree with you in your statement that he was to big in begins. I think he was the right size in terms of mass he just needed to be more ripped, and with that mass he still had some definiton, he had well shaped biceps and he was toned enough for that matter. Plus he had abs its not like he was fat.

The problem with him really was that the suit was too bulky and if you add his bigger frame then he could look relatively larger. What he needed from the beginning was a tighter thiner suit. It would have looked much better specially with the size he had. But that's the past, now he has definitely a smaler build in terms of mass. Like you pointed out his biceps look smaller and heck his face looks thinner too and I don't think he'll just bulk up like that during the shoot. If the suit is the same as the one in begins(with still don't have official proof that he'll have a new suit just well founded rumors and spec) it won't mind that much to me i like the begins suit i just think they should make it a bit more sleek thin it down a bit if you will.
