Funny. Ledger is their number one male performance of the year, and they gave TDK a great review (yet for some strange reason, they said it took too much time setting up the third one...did anyone else feel this way? LOL), which leads me to believe that based on those factors, combined with the fact that it was easily the "biggest" movie of the year (box office, hype, etc.), it should have at least garnered the tenth position.

- 4 Months, 3 Weeks & Two days is a 2007 movie. Even though it hit most american theaters in 2008, they submitted it for oscar consideration in 2007.

- Iron Man? Seriously? It's a good film but i could name 15 films that came out in 2008 that are better.

The only ones I've heard about are SR, IM, Button, Wall.E & Milk. TDK under all of those movies (especially the nobody movies), really?

Watch your mouth. Speed Racer was greatness. However, it was not better than TDK. And Iron Man sure as hell wasnt better than TDK... no contest.

I agree, I certainly enjoyed Speed Racer, it had everything in it lol...like.. more blood in it than The Dark Knight actually. I still love the Dark Knight, I watched it more times than Speed Racer.

Also, I thought Kung fu Panda should be up there too, it was a lot better than Shrek, that other Dreamworks animation.

Normally I could give two ****s about this but even to a guy like me, that's cold. First of all, it's TIME...a house old American magazine, they would at least put TDK somewhere in there. It was THE biggest film of 2008 if not the past years. It's like common sense but I don't know, I guess.

TDK's omission aside, I find myself very amused that Speed Racer made it on there.

I figured everyone would have forgotten about it by now. I haven't seen it, but I've heard good things about the actual movie, epileptic visuals aside.

But it BOMBED at the box office. Like, big-time. (He even acknowledges so.) It may be the biggest bomb this year, if Australia doesn't do better.

Richard Corliss sure has a selective memory if he remembered Speed Racer over TDK. He gave TDK a glowing review, too.

Whatevs. He's allowed to like 10 movies more than TDK if he wants to. I figured he wasn't one of those NY critics who just straight up didn't like TDK at all, and I sure wouldn't expect TDK on their top 10 lists anytime soon.

at minimum, speed racer will be looooong gone. i'm a diehard fan of the manga/anime and i didn'e even see the movie.
