I know that a lot of people are against the idea of Peter being a father (it ages him) or of the return of Ben Reilly (they hate him and/or his era). So what if a baby Reilly Tyne (Darkdevil from Spider-Girl, also Ben Reilly's son with Elizabeth Tyne in the MC2 universe) was introduced in the 616 universe? Peter would be an uncle with responsibility that he would very much appreciate and would provide us readers with another dimension of Peter's character that we have seen very little of (Uncle Peter wasn't much of an uncle to 'lil Normie IMO).

I know that there's still the problem of the aging of a baby in relation to the perpetually youthful superheroes we read about but couldn't that be solved with some plot point? These are comic books after all...

Scoff if you want, but at least it's a better idea than Gabriel and Sarah.

Dude, Ben Reilly has a KID in the MC2 Universe?! Wow, I'm thinking I REALLY need to start reading Spider-Girl... :D

Best Spidey book out there.

:down Let the Clone Saga die. At least in the 616.

Plus, I'm looking for them to strip away all the recent nonsense & get back to what made Spider-Man a great character, not "add new dimensions" & further complicate it.

I'm seriously thinking of picking Spider-Girl up. It sounds good.

Now there's no denying that; it's arguably the only good thing to come out of the Clone Saga-apart from getting Norman back.

Now's the perfect time, man! They're going to be relaunching the book as "The Amazing Spider-Girl" in a month or two, and they're even going to release a book that summarizes all of May's adventures that you haven't read!

This book needs all the readers it can get, and it is guaranteed not to dissappoint!

What's funny to me is that it's been threatened with cancellation twice, & we fans wouldn't let it happen. If only we could've stopped some other bad moves from the House Of Ideas.

The only reason Spider-Girl has remained untainted over the years is because it wasn't as popular as the more mainstream marvel characters. Had Spider-Girl been as popular as Spider-Man, then we would have seen bad editorial decision after bad editorial decision made on it as well. We'r ekind of lucky that Spider-Girl has flown under the radar for so long.

I'm honestly afraid that one of two things will happen with the launch:

A- it will gain alot of interest, and then go right back to the brink of cancellation where it was.

B- it will take off like a rocket, and Joe Q will give his input on how they can "modernize" or "fix" the character.

Personally, I hope people just pick up the book and enjoy it for what it is. Maybe that way, we can avoid it becoming a "shock value" comic like the Spidey books are nowadays.

So because Joe Q doesn't really care about the book, he leaves Tom alone & lets him do what he wants?
So this is what Tom does when he has independent control of a book.

That's the way that I look at it. If Joe Q were involved, he'd have had May stab a guy through the wrists and eat his head or something stupid like that.

Come to think of it, Defalco turned out some great stuff back in the day, when comics were created by creators.
