If i am not mistaken, Goyer is Nolan's guide to the bat comics. He suggests issues and stories for him to consider, and advises him on his choices. Nolan isnt a batfan and he needs one for advice. Also, again if i am not mistaken, Nolan wanted a batman without a cape or grapple gun because he thought it would be cheesy and goyer convinced him otherwise.

Other than that, yes goyer's one liners were horrible, as was the way he wanted Ras to die, screaming as the train was derailing. Thank god they changed that.

So all i am saying is that he is not all bad...

Nolan is a Bat-fan, he has said so himself, and he had the bat-logo in memento. He might not be a level 9000 comic nerd, but he is a Bat-fan.
