I've been looking for the script. I don't think it's out there though. I'd like to read it, however horrible it may be.

All I know was that it dealt with a planet of spiders, symbiotes, Venom, Carnage and no Spider-Man. Goyer obviously had to do the best he could to incorperate the spider element to the movie seeing as the studio (New Line) didn't have the rights to Spider-Man.

It defenitely does sound horrible, IMO. Hopefully, the upcoming Venom film will have a much better script, As I have said, I have high hopes for it.

I just don't get this Veenome spin off bit, it doesn't work without spiderman, it was the perfect villain for Spiderman. So I am curious how they are going to do this, hopefully they make it good.

Carnage was involved too.

From what I remember there was a train that was moving delicate alien remains in one car and criminals in another. Brock and Cassidy were among them. They each found their symbiotes and it was supposed to be a lesser of 2 evils kind of character

Lol, "a planet populated by spiders & thus the spider logo on the venom suit" that is crap & is just basically giving a huge F.U to the fans, they can do it like this, Start of with a little bit of the symbiote bonding to spidey, spidey getting rid of it & then cut to a scene when it takes overs eddie brock, this will give a perfect explanation why it has a spider logo becuase it's kind of a ruidimentary spidey suit...but look at the last spin off.. if i remember correctly...Elektra *shudders*

Well, without having the rights to Spidey, there really aren't a lot of possibilities to make Venom work.

But now that Venom is a spin-off Movie to the Spider-Man Movies, I'd like to see Goyer have another go at it.
