Has anyone ever seen the script that Goyer wrote for New Line's "Venom" movie? Man, I would just about kill to get my mitts on this thing... I'm very curious to see how it worked out, even though they never made the movie and ultimately lost the character rights.

I didn't know there was ever a Venom movie in development. But you are right it would be interesting to see what the premis would be. I mean what would the orgin be since Spidey is at a different studio.

Apparently the origin was an asteroid carrying the symbiote that landed on earth came from a planet inhabited by spiders, hence Venom's spider emblem on the chest. The symbiote attaches to Brock, a piece eventually breaks off and attaches to Kassidy. Symbiote madness ensues. Didn't sound too bad.

didnt involve a train that was carrying secret alien substance plus a few commuters including two prison tranportees (Brock and Kassidy). the train crashes and the symbiotes attach to the prisoners and Brock becomes the better of two evils.

It was decent for a Venom movie that was in no way spider-man related

If that means you read it, you're the only person in the world that is known to have done so.

no, I'm just going from what I've heard about it...interviews with Goyer, etc, etc. :o

It was made by Goyer. That alone means it was terrible.

Because Batman Begins and all the Blade movies were so bad?

...no.

Yeah, Carnage was the main villian. Frankly, a Venom movie is the only situation in which I'd want to see Carnage on the screen.
