What costume would a wheelchair-bound Professor X be wearing in the 70s?

OH MY GOD, this is too much!

an exciting announcement???????????

'Fox's Grand plan'? :wow:

This screams X4 all over the place to me, not exactly the announcement, but the grand plan

 :awesome:

Can you feel the love between Millar and Singer?

Unless DOFP is a complete failure(which it wont be). Your gonna get an X4,X5 DOFP follow up regardless. After Superman Returns/X3 Singer aint goen anywhere. The main series is their high seller for comic films. They will make those films till they lose the rights.

The announcement - they've worked out a deal with Marvel to have X-Men be a part of the MCU. :word:

i don't think Fox needs to let Xmen be part of the MCU as they have so many characters in the Xmen Comics they can play with, make spin offs ect ect

Of course, and I doubt the actual X Men films would even mention MCU characters. But letting a few of those characters in the MCU event films (if needed) would be awesome. Just knowing there are no right issues would be great. Not to mention Surfer, Galactus and FF could be there as well if a deal was made.

Totally agree with you. Singer tried new things with the Superman franchise, and now with a fantasy movie with Jack, and sadly to him, neither has been the big hit the studio was expecting, so right now the X-Men franchise seems to be Singer's biggest proyect in the long run, and Im sure he feels that too.

And with him saying he wants to get even more involved in the franchise and its future, I cant help but have great expectations.

If we end seeing James Marsden playing Cyclops in the near future after DOFP and some more returning actors like Cumming or Grammer... oh man!

that would be a big day to me

Even small things like acknowledging mutants in the MCU films. Or having the Baxter Building in a NYC shot.

I want nothing more than the announcement to be that Fox and Marvel have worked out a deal...but it will probably have something to do with either Deadpool or a X-Men/FF team-up film. Or maybe a Silver Surfer film.

You know, I don't think people realize how much not having the FF affects the MCU. I'm not one of those who are adamant about Fox owning FF and will boo anything they do with the property....but it sucks.

It's not just that the FF themselves are not in the MCU or even the Surfer or Galactus, but everything else that is associated with the FF. So much of the cosmic Marvel characters and races are tied to the FF...Annihilus, the Negative Zone, the Skrulls, the Kree, Galactus' heralds, and possibly much more. The only thing Marvel really has are Nova Corps, the Chitauri, Thanos, and more obscure cosmic characters like the Guardians. I'm not even sure they have the Badoon because they were introduced in Silver Surfer.

I really hope it's not any kind of crossover with MCU. Mutants should exist within their own world IMO.

I always felt X-Men works way better apart from the rest of the Marvel Universe. The line between superhumans like the Fantastic Four and mutants gets super blurry when it comes to social acceptance and X-Men have pretty much their own mini-Universe established anyway. I'd also have no desire to see Wolverine on the Avengers in place of all the Avengers that haven't gotten a film appearance yet, X-Men fighting non-mutant enemies or any other possible benefit a film universe crossover could conceivably give. Plus X-Men always always get the worst treatment when it comes to Marvel cross overs (House of M, AvX).

there shouldn't be a "team up" movie.. but there are certain X-men related characters who DO interact with other teams... specifically Wanda and Pietro. Then there's SWORD... fantastic four, etc...

Agreed.

By the way, it is absolutely essential that FOX works out a deal with Marvel/Disney for their characters to become part of the larger cinematic universe. If we ever hope to see something like this...

...then they must merge as one.

Ehhh... no thanks. The X films and the MCU films have a completely different tone and style to them.

Something about mixing mutants with aliens and/or other superheroes diminishes the struggle and lessens the tone of the series. The whole X-Men concept is a pretty cool sci-fi story ykno...even though they're connected in the comics, it's like mixing Star Trek and Star Wars.
