A blue beast man on top of a blue woman rocking scales. Ridiculousness is why I love genre films.

Singer confirms Apocalypse takes place during the 80s, or did we already know that?
Xavier, Beast, Storm, Cyclops and Jean vs. Apocalypse in the 80s sounds good to me.
"We're going to deal the the notion of ancient mutants - the fact they were born and existed thousands of years ago. But it'll be a contemporary movie - well, it'll take place in the '80s... The '80s is a period now - it's hard for me to believe that!"
"Apocalypse will have more of the mass destruction that X-Men films, to date, have not relied upon. There's definitely now a character and a story that allow room for that kind of spectacle."
Says they are close to go time: "we're currently breaking the story."
"I don't want to get too specific, but we'll introduce familiar characters in a younger time. That'll be fun to show the audience. I call these movies in-between-quels. It's a mind-f-ck sometimes in terms of where things fall in the timeline!"
where has he said that? on totalfilm??
In between-quels eh? What does that mean? He used that for DOFP...but if this is another does that mean a true sequel is one that features the OT cast?

I guess I must be the only person who finds the idea of younger versions going up against apoc to be kinda strange. I just dont think for me it will have the same level of drama. I mean regardless of whether there is a risk they could die because the timelines could change meaning whatever happens in the past from this point is not connected to the future of the OT. I just feel that the rookie cyc, jean and storm arent going to impress me all that much :S
Plus the future of the franchise is with the younger crew. They could easily have a whole new trilogy post-Apocalypse with the young cast. If Lawrence and Fassbender are done then just get new villains. They won't be needed if you have the core X-Men played by up-and-coming actors.
I agree, I'm sure they have an outline of a script or a script ready but I don't believe it's set in stone or anything.this is just marekting BS.
after this movie is out they will make a decision what kind of sequel they will make.
signing of a script 3 months before this movie is out is stupid.
they are trying to build up the next movie as something huge so that they trick us into watching this movie many times. it will not work. if its a distater it will underperform based on the budget. However, I really, really wish Bryan Singer would focus on the movie he's CURRENTLY working on and trying to promote. I just feel like he's jumping the gun a little.
