It's back at the theater a block away from my office...I think it only just left there a week or so ago.

I'd check it out again tonight, but the first show is at 6:30 and I'm going to a play that starts at 8 so I can't make it. Might try to catch it this weekend.

My office closes at 3 today, so I'm probably going to see GOTG at the IMAX again to kill time before the show.

When did Charles try to control people in DOFP? For the most part he didn't have his powers...

There are some fans who enjoyed X3 and Origins very much, me being one of them.

I didn't hate X3 - in fact there were many aspects of it that I really appreciated, like getting to see and hear more of Storm - but it didn't make me fall in love with mutants like X2 did.
Origins, on the other hand, was mostly meh, although the beginning was fantastic.

As for Professor X's characterization...he was all about wanting to control Jean instead of allowing her to make her own choices...heck, look at how DOFP showed that Charles trying to control people, even if it's for the best intention, doesn't yield great results.

I can see Charles controlling Jean in X3. However it didn't really ring true for me that he was trying to control Mystique, because in FC he was more or less ignoring her. He jumped right over her injured self to go see about Moira in the third act. So it seemed to come out of nowhere in DOFP.

I was referring to when Charles told raven that he had tried to control her for most their youth along with the incident involving jean.

Professor X had good reasons for controlling Jean. He knew that her powers were too huge for her to control by herself and if she's left unchecked, she'll become a huge threat to the entire planet earth (which she has demonstrated at the end of X3). Having Professor X place mental blocks inside Jean's mind is like building a dam to prevent floodings.

I never saw that as Charles controlling Raven with his powers, but controlling her like a bossy older brother. Two entirely different things, and also different from the Jean situation.

What was the point of having Mystique impersonate Stryker?

Is she trying to help Wolverine?
Was she trying to facilitate them getting Wolverine to the island where he gets the admatanium?
It just seemed so out of character for the her at the time.

I think she was trying to help him, I figured she was doing what she did for the mutants in Vietnam.

An X-Men marathon (excluding the Wolverine solo films) has been programmed at the International Cinematographers Film Festival in Ostrava, Czech Republic (September 26 - October 2nd).

X-Men Marathon

Sci-fi fans can look forward to our marathon of films included in the X-men series. In two afternoons we will show on the big screen all five main films including: X_men, X2, X-Men The Last Stand, X-Men: First Class and X-Men: The Days of Future Past. Since the series started in 2000, the three first films will be screened from 35mm copy at the old and big Vesmir cinema. Two newest films will be on the contrary screened from the DCP digital prints in the new 4K cinema at STC, Dolni oblast Vitkovice.

Days of Future past-The trilogy sets up the future with sentinles and expostion tells how
Mystique went from FC version to trilogy Version

Apocalypse will come about because of time travel In DOFP which erased Trilogy.

In X-Men CU it remains to be seen yet when Deadpool and Wolverine solo film will take
place with regards to DOFP and Apoclaypse

Deadpool could be set In early 1980's before Apocalypse or It could set more in present day before new future seen at end of DOFP

Wolverine film could be set after the 1983 events of Apocalypse or It could be set after
the new future of DOFP when the wolverine we have seen through all films so far wakes up in body of wolverine where history went different.

i think wolverine 3 will be set in the new future but it will be based on old man logan since we have had his origin and japan story and the next big story is probably old man logan

since its a solo he doesn't need to mix with any of the other X-men and he is pretty ageless so they can put him where they want
