Where are the script pictures from?

The script is on display at the X-Men event in London. I was allowed to take some photos of pages, so in theory it's public domain now?

Where did you see the props/script?

At the O2 in London, they've got an exhibit to celebrate the launch of the download :)

Huh? That script leaked months ago. Thought everyone read it by now...

This is the script that they used for shooting with on set. I think you're referring to the first draft? If this is all old then I'll stop, but I found it fascinating

---

So here's a segment I found particularly interesting. It's the original stinger planned. Unfortunately, who it is has been ommitted from the script, so... any ideas??

Just want to add that for all our complaints about Rogue, and her scenes are amazing, she has like 4 lines, and 2 of them are essentially "huh?". I was surprised.

Pics tomorrow if I get the ok from the admins, it's been a long day :)

Lucky you!! Please share i feel im the only one who hasnt read the script. If not can you pm them to me please??!! Much appreciated :yay:

Shooting script excerpts. I've added some context to each, but the full album is at http://imgur.com/a/hSG4e

As an initial caveat, the script had numerous omitted sections. These were flagged up throughout and usually coincided with a pivotal scene. Obviously wanting to limit how much everyone knew, some big sections are missing. There were also a handful of alternate endings, where Trask died, got arrested, or fled. These were presented as an alternate shoot
1) Cover - nice cover...? Interesting that inside the script had gone through 15 revisions before shooting began

2) Inside cover - little tidbit really, but I thought it was fun that Singer used a Darwin quote to launch the script

3) The mutants meet the X-Men - first meeting of Xavier and co and the new mutants. Really liked this scene, and a rare chance for Wolverine to use adamantium. Lots to like here, surprised they cut it
http://imgur.com/a/hSG4e#2

4) The plan is set - this is a fun one. Not only do they poke fun at the idea of mutants, but Xavier's resurrection is directly addressed. Needed to be in the film I reckon, but may have posed too many questions. Plus Sunspot says something
http://imgur.com/a/hSG4e#3

5) Bobby's dig at Wolverine - I love this line about the mutton chops :D
http://imgur.com/a/hSG4e#4

6/7) Rogue's rescue - right, so I read the whole thing. After Kitty is injured, Bobby proposes saving Rogue, mentioning that they tried and failed once before. They break into the X-Mansion, and enter Cerebro. There they find doctors working on Rogue. Magneto lifts up all the metal tools and threatens them, which naturally causes them to flee. Rogue sees Magneto first though, and freaks out, remembering X1. Bobby then appears to calm her and they begin to escape. The Sentinels however morph into the room through the vents, causing them to flee. Bobby attempts to slow them down, and then this happens.
It's a wonderful set piece, and the image of the Mansion burning, cut with Mystique in the past sounds beautiful

8) Rogue takes over - the scene where Rogue takes over from Kitty. I always loved this idea and it is heartbreaking to not see it in the film. Ultimately they all get killed like in the film, but Sunspot goes out because he runs out of solar energy, and Collosus gets stabbed up first

9) Corrected future - all change here! Quicksilver is in the school (!!!!!), there's no Jean or Cyclops, Beast and Mystique are together, and the meeting between Xavier and Logan has changed, with Xavier reading his mind to work out what has happened.
http://imgur.com/a/hSG4e#8

10) Alternate ending - Stryker takes the unknown man, codenamed X, for the Weapon X project. There's a funny cut to black there too for some reason. Quite enjoyed Logan's acid callback
http://imgur.com/a/hSG4e#9

11) Alternate stinger - the identity was omitted... Any ideas?

Hope this was a fun read :)
Any questions, do ask, I read most of it :D

Very Intresting.I am one who never read script so I go by what others have said was different.

The scene of Xavier,Magneto, wolverine,Storm tense meeting with new mutants was good.Maybe it will be In "Rogue Cut"

They probally wanted to make some kind of comment about Xavier but maybe thought they would need to go more In depth.Plus Bryan Singer may have felt like they should get to past as quick as possable.

Nice to see what we can look forward to In Rogue cut however it's doudtful Mystique In mansion and basement will be edited back since part of it Is on Blu-ray deleted scenes and Bryan Singer said none of deleted scenes will be edited back Into film for "Rogue Cut"

For future originally It was clear the trilogy was going to be even more erased than It got in Final film.Rogue wouldn't have white streak and Mystique was never going to be villain anymore after Xavier convinced her not to kill Trask. As for Cyclops and Jean most likely they were determinded not to get their return to leak.

The original ending would have shown new begining of weapon X.Most likely when they started devolping Apocalypse they decered to change it so Wolverine could go In different direction with It.

Like X-Men and X2 Bryan Singer changed things as they were shooting DOFP.

Awesome stuff holy small fry!

Thanks for sharing!

Im kinda surprised Fox would show script segments to the public, but cool nonetheless!

I got a copy of the leaked script a few months back. There are some variations from what you posted. For example, in my copy, the description of the scene when Rogue takes Kitty's power is pretty much the same but yours has an additional, "Hi, Logan" line. And the subsequent scene where Logan wakes up in the past after hearing Rogue's greeting (which we all saw in the B-Roll) is not in my copy as well.

It's a huge possibility that the script underwent revisions as the production went along.

Thank you so much for sharing! :yay:

Very cool! Thanks for sharing! I like how you're allowed to browse the script very cool!

Also, do you have any more pics of the costumes?

Thanks for sharing! Rogue's scenes sounded good. Though I would have changed the line, sorry kitty to "he didnt make it".

Wolverine? He was re-captured by the military in the end.

Thanks Hoy-Small-fry!!! I wish I had any script to read. Can't wait to see it live. I wonder who was in the other pentagon cell . . . Same cook? The guy that got tapped by QuickSilver. It would've been cool if Emma was the other prisoner (:

Glad you're all enjoying it. There's so much neat stuff in there, I really wish I could have kept a copy of it. There's something magical about reading the real script :)

@DOFP I can't work it out. I was hoping someone would know here... Got to be someone we know, but who is notable in his or her absence

Awesome post!!!

Glad they kept Rogue's skunk streak & that they stuck to only X-Men members in that final scene.
Also wish Rogue had had something meatier to say. It does seem it was unnecessary to bring her in in the grand scheme of things, although that "Hi Logan" is very nostalgic.

In my opinion, "Hi, Logan" is perfect. It's quaint, but tears at your heartstrings. Especially after all that's happened. All Jean said was "Hey, Logan" and it was enough to be emotional. Sometimes, simple is best and my god I can't wait to see this because the Rogue sequence will bring the entire franchise full circle. If only this were the end because they could've reused Kamen's Logan/Rogue theme.

I feel like the post-credits teaser in the script above might've just been Trask or Logan in Magneto's cell. It might've been comparatively lamer compared to the Apocalypse scene.

You’re so lucky you got to see all this stuff!!

Thanks hoy-small-fry! I wonder if this same exhibit will be shown in North America too. It has to be!

Considering all the main X-men movies were filmed in Canada (X-men: Toronto; X2 and The Last Stand: Vancouver; X-men DOFP: Montreal), they should really put up the exhibit here. :)

Speaking of filming locations, here's me this past weekend at the X-mansion in Victoria, BC (it's the same mansion they used for Smallville and Arrow):

Hatley Castle! Also, heyyy. :atp:

The mystery person was probably Apocalypse.

Aww, I love that tune.
