Winick writing and Churchill drawing = me not reading.

I've been finding Churchill's art to be getting better lately. I actually enjoyed it on All-Flash and the Titans East special. Though I give the credit to the colorists on those ones.

So far, I've got Speedy with HIV, and Connor with "braindead coma" (which will no doubt lead to an issue or two where Ollie and some other hero discuss pulling the plug).

Has anyone gotten an abortion in any Winick books, yet? If not, I'm predicting that to happen to Starfire.

Homosexuality with Thunder and Terry Berg, and homosexual hate crimes with Terry.

I liked the fact that Winick handled controversial topics, back when he could still write. If no one else was gonna do it, then it might as well be him.

Well, Benitez is waaaaayyyy better than Churchill. Still not buying the book, but this makes it slightly harder to pass up. From "hell no!" to "nah, I think i'll pass."

I'd put Benitez and Churchill at about the same level of quality, myself. Which, of course, means I still won't be buying Titans. I hope it gets canceled within a year.

I don't mind the team they're on. I mind the creators. A reunion of the original Titans and the New Teen Titans, and the best they could get are Winick and Benitez? Ugh.

Benitez is way worse than Churchill. I can tolerate Churchill on the fact that he's been improving. Benitez is just plain ugh..

Titans is supposed to be the ultimate family; while the JLA is the ultimate Team.
(Young Justice is a group in whose time will come)-Superman in JLA-Titans.

I know it's been pointed out, but -- just who asked for this? I certainly didn't. I ended up reading the late 90's/early 2000 Titans series because it was published as a back-up in the German JLA comics, and it was okay, but nothing spectacular. I certainly wouldn't have picked it up on its own. It was basically "JLA Lite", IMHO, and I can't imagine the new series achieving anything more. So, unless I hear the most amazing things about it, I'll pass.

On a side note, I think DC should be very careful about going Titans-crazy again. Teen Titans, while good, is not what is used to be. Eyes on the prize, DC!

I've been begging for this to happen for quite some time. I like the idea of Teen Titans and Titans.
