Story : Chad is on the rebound from a bad break up , and is looking to escape his romantic woes. While on a work related trip in Gotham city, Chad and his co-workers decide to explore Gotham's night club scene.

At one of Gotham's trendiest club, Chad meets Madison, an intelligent and funny young woman, seemingly out of his league . It's not long before an easy chemistry develops between the two of them, and they both shyly decide to meet again the next night to grab coffee.

Chad is , for the first time in a while, stoked to meet someone new. She's smart, funny, and beautiful. It's as if she's too good to be true.

Unfortunately for Chad, Madison is hiding a secret that only residents of Gotham would know. She's really the criminal known as Harley Quinn ,and she's not only on the run from the authorities, she's also being persuaded by her psychotic ex the Joker, who won't let her go, and is insanely jealous. That's on top of having a price on her head from Black Mask which is to be collected by Slade Wilson. .

Unbeknownst to Chad, he's about to be in for the craziest night of his life, in one of the most dangerous cities in America.

Story : As cosmic existential crisis unfolds, an embattled and impeached President Luthor relays his life story to the Anti Monitor. In a combination of Citizen Kane, The Aviator, and It's a Wonderful Life, Luthor : A True Story covers Lex life, his loves, his losses, his triumphs, and his obsessions. From the suspicious death of his saintly mother, to his battles with his sadistic father, to his epic yet doomed romances, to the bitter rivalry which consumes much of his adult life, Luthor is a story of contradictions between one man's aspirations for greatness, and his character flaws, which undermine his achievements .

I don't know where to start. This is so good!.
Most actors suit their characters well. Now you're on my level, hahaha :) :hrt: LOL

Cranston would be a great older Lex.
Benedinct as Brainiac, Neeson as Darkseid etc... SO GREAT!!!

Fraser must really get in shape to be Superman :cwink:

It seems that Lex had a preferance for brunettes in his younger days.

Thanks Airwings !:yay:.

It's one of my favorite one's that i've posted, though I forgot how huge the cast was, and how many picks I posted . :D:funny:Lol.

Fraser would have had to have really hit the gym and get back to his Mummy shape to look like Superman:cwink:.

I was lucky to find a pick of Cumberbatch as Brainiac and the pick of Darkseid kinda resemble Neeson to me so that was also pretty cool:yay:.

Yeah, Lex seemed to have a thing for Brunette's in his younger days:D.

I tried to find an actress who could, as much as possible, pass for a younger Sandra Bullock. It was tough since Sandra has unique facial features , though Reale, from Stranger Things, came closer to pass for a younger Sandra Bullock.

Justice League of America (1997)
Directed by Jonathan Frakes
Hundreds of years ago, the peaceful Green Martians and their warlike brethren the White Wartians have nearly wiped each other out in a brutal war. J'onn J'onzz, seemingly the last Martian survivor, retreats to a fortress holding a portal to another dimension. The White Martian army track him down, and after a brief confrontation with their war leader Protex, J'onn activates the portal and his enemies are drawn into the dark abyss called the Phantom Zone. J'onn is left alone on the long-dead red planet.

Set one year after the events of Wonder Woman, it opens with peace summit at the United Nations is discussing the emergence of superhumans across the globe. Flash and Green Lantern are alluded to, as is the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. Diana Prince and Superman urge the leaders of the free world to seek out a peaceful resolution to the metahuman phenomenon. The mysterious "Matthew Fleck", a new associate of Amanda Waller's metahuman surveillance programs, keeps the meeting at a stalemate. After an uneasy first meeting in Metropolis, Superman and Batman look into Waller and her organization's monitoring of metahumans, discovering rumors of an alien infiltration into the government and meeting Flash and Green Lantern.

Several important scientists and political leaders, including the President, begin acting strangely before it is revealed they are alien invaders, White Martians who avoided imprisonment. The Martians infiltrate Waller's base at Metropolis and gain access to an experimental portal that opens the Phantom Zone. A global invasion of Earth begins and the assembled heroes are overwhelmed before Aquaman saves them. Wonder Woman seals an alliance between Themyscira and Atlantis in helping Earth's military battle the powerful Martian army. Superman receives visions of another alien calling to him. In his Clark Kent disguise, Superman goes to the quarantined Metropolis and encounters the fugitive J'onn J'onzz. J'onn has stalked Matthew Fleck and discovered he is the another surviving Green Martian. Ma'alefa'ak, a Green Martian born as a mutant with heightened mental and physical powers. Ma'alefa'ak abused his great power, and was punished by being stripped of his psychic abilities. In revenge, Ma'alefa'ak aided the warlike White Martians in exterminating his race until he was forced to escape his dying world.

J'onn calls the team of heroes back together, telling them they can seize control of the Phantom Zone technology and send the White Martians back into their prison. The team contacts General Wade Eiling and other human groups resisting the Martian occupation, telling them their plan. The Martian invaders are gathering at Washington DC, so the heroes will take the fight to them. Batman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman are to take down the White Martian leader, Protex. Green Lantern and Flash aid the military in engaging the Martian army. Superman and J'onn are to apprehend Ma'alefa'ak and get control of the Phantom Zone portal. The Washington teams succeed in turning the tide, and Batman personally engages Protex by donning a powered suit and utilizing the Martians' natural weakness to fire. J'onn and Superman pursue and battle Ma'alefa'ak, where the truth about the criminal is revealed; he is J'onn's twin brother, and his crimes were that he tried to murder his brother and abduct his wife M'yri'ah. M'yri'ah would later die in the terrible Martian war, leaving the brothers alone in the universe. The two alien heroes manage to overpower the mad criminal after Superman blasts him with his heat vision, but J'onn refuses to kill him. The day is saved, and the heroes attempt to send the invaders into their prison again, but Ma'alefa'ak commits suicide by white phosphorus rather than be locked away.

J'onn is uncertain and lost, now the sole Martian left in the universe. Knowing his pain, Superman comforts him and at a later time invites him to a meeting with the other superheroes. With world leaders now giving them greater leeway after saving the planet, Superman sees the potential in a more permanent alliance between costumed heroes. Batman proposes the team be centered on a lunar base, a Wayne Industries funded station called the Watchtower. The Daily Planet breaks the story on the alliance, dubbing them the Justice League. In a post credits scene, an on-the-run Lex Luthor recovers a sample of a glowing green rock from Waller's now scuttled lab, and procures a soldier wounded in the invasion by the name of John Corben...

Birds of Prey (1997)
Directed by Quentin Tarantino
Catwoman is established as having been a thief and enforcer, but after time spent with Batman she is turning over a new leaf. She also carries a torch for him since their first meeting, fighting off a group of thugs together in their younger years in a flashback Year One scene. Barbara Gordon and her investigation of the crime rings of Gotham drives the plot, causing the villains to pursue the "Oracle" gathering info on their actions. She was Batgirl in the past, as displayed in flashbacks, and was an item with Dick Grayson before they agreed it wasn't going to work. She was crippled by the Joker, and she bonds with Selina Kyle over wanting a second chance at doing good.

As a Tarantino film, extra cameos and interwoven plots work their way in. Harley Quinn is introduced in this film proper after a cameo in The Batman. On-and-off with the abusive Joker, she is currently shacked up with a new criminal on the block, Poison Ivy. Mr. Freeze is also a mutual friend, being a misfit among the other rogues of Gotham. Ivy, Freeze and Harley take part in a raid on Axis Chemicals, akin to the diner sequence in Pulp Fiction. A meeting with Catwoman establishes a future team-up between the three Gotham City Sirens.
The villains of the piece are Oswald Cobblepot, a corrupt businessman and ruthless gangster known as the Penguin, and Zsasz. In the end, Zsasz's role in the death of Huntress's family is avenged but Penguin does not die.

Superman: Doomsday (1998)
Directed by Alex Proyas
Centuries ago, on the planet Krypton, the alien scientist Bertron grows an artificial life-form meant to be the ultimate survivor. Exposing the child to the harsh environment and natural predators of Krypton, Bertron resurrects his subject after each violent death until the creature is stronger than any other being on the planet. Unfortunately for Bertron, the creature instinctively recalls its deaths and grows to hate all life, hunting down its creator and killing him. For years the monster roams the planet, slaughtering anything in its way until it is apprehended by the ancestors of the House of El. The creature is sealed away, its exile from Krypton juxtaposed with Jor-El and his wife Lara sending their infant son Kal-El to Earth.

Clark Kent's life as Superman is becoming more complicated following the forming of the Justice League. At the Daily Planet he's facing more pressure from Perry White, and it's suggested he suspects Clark of being Superman. After a relaxing dinner date with Lois and his mother Martha, Clark picks out a ring with plans to propose to Lois. He has a phone call with Bruce Wayne who encourages him not to mask his feelings, and just tell Lois exactly how he feels. Bruce tells Clark there is still no sign of Luthor. Clark reminisces on an old memory from his days at college, where he in fact knew a young Luthor. They were almost friends for a time, before Luthor's arrogance and ambition drove a wedge between them and Luthor left to make his fortune in Metropolis. In Metropolis, Intergang contacts the now-fugitive Lex Luthor. Smuggling technology left over from the Brainiac and Martian invasions, Luthor introduces the former soldier John Corben, now a cyborg with a cell powered by kryptonite. Going by the alias Metallo, Corben hates Superman and all aliens after nearly dying in the Martian war. Superman intervenes in a raid by the gang and is forced on the defensive by the cyborg and his heavily armed force. But Lois's father, General Sam Lane, evens the odds with a regiment of his own troops and Intergang is stopped. Though he is also distrusting of aliens, Lane sees the good in what Superman has done and works with him to track Luthor. Saved from the crossfire of the attack is Jimmy Olsen, photographer for the Daily Planet, who Clark takes a shine to.

Following notes left behind by Brainiac, Luthor travels far beneath Metropolis and discovers a ship containing the dormant monster from Krypton. He deciphers a message left by the Kryptonians, who call it the "harbinger of doom". Believing it can help him bring down Superman, Luthor has his aides wake up the monster as he places a mental inhibitor on the creature. Luthor allows the army to track him down and lets the monster slaughter them. Clark is on his way to meet Lois when he hears a report on the destruction, and leaves behind a message asking Lois to call him when it is over. As Superman, he confronts Luthor in the street. There Luthor confesses his utter loathing of Superman, as an alien and a "false god" who protects a weak and complacent world. Superman rejects Luthor's outlook, condemning him for having nearly doomed Earth to Brainiac and affirming his belief in using his power for others and not himself. The JLA arrive to help apprehend Luthor, and he releases the monster again, calling it his "Doomsday" weapon. But when Doomsday sees the symbol of the House of El on Superman's chest, Luthor's control over it is broken and the monster goes berserk. A brutal battle ensues, and while the JLA hold Doomsday at bay for a while the beast overwhelms them. Luthor is almost killed in the collateral damage, but to his surprise Superman saves him, getting wounded by Doomsday in the process. As Superman shields him from an overturned car, Luthor has a flashback to years ago when Clark Kent saved him from a similar wreck, and he is dumbstruck to realize Superman's true identity. A wounded Clark pursues Doomsday as the monster moves to continue its rampage elsewhere, leaving a speechless Luthor and the incapacitated League behind.

Jimmy Olsen and Lois trail Doomday's path of destruction and Superman's pursuit, and her father tells her the monster is heading into the Midwest. Having evolved to hunt and kill other Kryptonians, Doomsday follows a signal it senses from the rocket that carried Clark to Earth. As it closes in on Smallville and the Kent farm, Clark once again stands in its way. The two clash in a titanic battle, with the army attempting in vain to intervene. The fight reaches a crescendo when Martha Kent is threatened. Superman unleashes the last of his strength to defeat and kill the monster, but he is stabbed fatally by its bone protrusions. Lois arrives in time to survey the destruction. She reaches a dying Clark, comforting him and telling him he saved them all, again. Clark dies in her arms as the JLA arrives too late. The League and the world are left devastated, and a shocked Luthor is taken into custody, still reeling over the revelation that his most hated rival was once the closest thing he had to a friend. Lois visits him in prison, hatefully telling him to remember that even in his last moments, after everything Luthor did, Clark still saved him. A public funeral is held for Superman in Metropolis, and Clark's friends and family meet at the Kent farm to mourn him. Pete Ross and Lana Lang tearfully admit they were going to tell Clark of their recent engagement. Lois finds Clark's ring back at their apartment, and wears it in honor of him as the world tries to move on without a Superman. In a cliffhanger, a portal opens on the moon. Out of the portal emerges a bearded man in a dark cloak, and a chorus of voices whisper a name.

"Zod."

Batman & Robin (1998)
Directed by Joel Schumacher
Months after the death of Superman, Batman and other superheroes are stretched thin tackling the rising crime waves. A league of costumed villains has risen, and he's been on a cycle of constantly arresting, taking them to Arkham and then battling them when they break out again. Robin is also growing more rebellious and violent. The film gets going when the dynamic duo foil a raid by Harvey Dent, now the mad criminal Two-Face. Though they apprehend him, several innocent people are killed and Robin is tempted to kill him in turn. Bruce and Jason argue in the Batcave, and Bruce tells Jason their mission is to save lives, not end them. After Jason leaves in a huff, Bruce admits to Alfred he is losing rest and beginning to wear down. He seeks medical help with Alfred's old friend and colleague Leslie Thompkins, who provides him with medication for his piling injuries.

At Arkham Asylum, Batman visits Joker and they discuss their rivalry. Joker, having corrupted and twisted his doctor Harleen Quinzel into the deranged Harley Quinn, has only grown worse over time. Batman tells Joker he does not want to kill or hurt him anymore, but Joker is adamant the only way they will end things is in violence. The mysterious psychiatrist Hugo Strange asks Batman to leave, having been enlisted to take charge of Arkham. He tests the various criminals, curious not just about them but their dynamic with the Batman. In particular he confers with the Joker and Edward Nygma, the Riddler. To enforce his will over the inmates and keep the asylum under control, he enlists a masked mercenary known only as Bane. He has instructed Bane to help him deconstruct and unmask Batman, telling the mercenary he knows his identity. To lure him in, Strange enlists Riddler to organize the villains and spark a riot. Batman and Robin respond to the breakout and arrive to an asylum in flames. When the heroes enter the complex to restore control, the trap is sprung and they are assaulted by numerous criminals. It's clear they are cornered, and Strange and Riddler force Batman into a series of tests. Batman and Robin faces numerous criminals and puzzles, their commitment being tested the whole way. Jason favors the straightforward and violent approach, while Bruce maintains the analytical one.

The villains' alliance quickly devolves. Joker itches to pursue Batman himself, but Strange keeps him alone locked down. Two-Face is also kept at bay, with Riddler persuading him that destroying Batman as a symbol the way Harvey Dent was destroyed is more effective. Unknown to all of them, however, Bane has his own agenda and is preparing to fight Batman himself when it is done. Approaching the Joker in his cell, Bane makes a deal with him. Outside of Arkham, Jim Gordon and the GCPD try to find a way in without risking the staff who are now being held hostage. The detectives warn Gordon that while Hugo is running the show, his associate Bane may be the primary threat after having decimated his place of origin, the prison Santa Prisca. His background is virtually unknown, save for the rumors of his participation in human experiments with a dangerous "super-steroid".

Batman and Robin are exhausted, and then their final test is put before them. Two-Face is presented with an armed group of assassins, trained to kill Batman and Robin. They are trapped, and Strange declares the only way to survive is by killing their assailants. Two-Face decides to flip on who will be the primary target, and to his delight it is Batman. In a desperate fight for their lives, Robin decides to disobey Batman and resorts to crippling, lethal blows. He only restrains himself when Batman is hit by a stray bullet from a gun Jason wrenches from a subdued Two-Face. Robin is wracked with remorse and tries to get Batman out, but they are hounded by inmates. On the speakers Strange demands Batman unmask at last, telling him he and Robin will be spared if he complies. A tired Bruce considers it, until suddenly the speakers are taken over by the voice of the Joker. Strange is taken captive by Joker, realizing that Bane has betrayed him and released the mad clown. Joker incites all the asylum to break out and take Gotham for themselves. In a message to Strange, Bane speaks Batman's name out loud. "Bruce Wayne". He has known all along who Batman is, and now that his adversary is vulnerable he has no more need of Strange. Looking on the havoc ensuing at Arkham, Strange understands he has unleashed monsters onto Gotham, before Joker shoots him dead.

Batman and Robin rush to escape the Asylum as it starts falling apart. But as they reach the outer walls, where Gordon is waiting, they are almost trapped by fire. Robin helps Batman out of the wreckage and hands him to the police, telling them to get him out. Joker's minions approach, and Robin throws himself into the fray to hold them off. But Joker arrives on scene, shooting Robin before beating him with a crowbar. Joker sets off a bomb, making it out as Jason is caught in the blast. Batman watches in horror, and runs back to dig Jason out. The police cover him, and Batman takes Jason to Leslie Thompkins. The doctor is unable to save Jason, but helps him pass away peacefully. Jason apologizes for letting Bruce down, but Bruce blames himself and tells Jason he was a good soldier, and he will be avenged. Gotham falls into anarchy, and the rogues move to take the city for themselves. An enraged and wounded Batman begins a relentless pursuit of the Joker as the city burns. From the distance, Bane watches the pursuit, knowing the time to break the Bat is now...

The Flash (1998)

Directed by Robert Zemeckis
Barry is an established, experienced hero who's been active as the Flash for several years now. He's in a relationship with Iris West. Still troubled over the unsolved murder of his mother Nora, and his father's imprisonment over the deed, he studies the incident day after day. The Rogues (Captain Cold, Trickster, Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang) are contacted by a mysterious time-traveling agent who provides them with advanced weapons from the future. They launch a scheme to finally destroy the Flash, creating a small "mirror-verse" in Central City designed to keep the Flash contained.

However, Barry receives a message from another time-traveler; another Flash. Telling Barry he is from the future, where he took up the mantle after Barry Allen died in battle, Flash II gives Barry clues to defeat the Rogues and their traps. The de-facto leader of the Rogues, Captain Cold, turns reluctant when his team's unknown ally instructs them to take more drastic measures which threaten Central City. The Rogues' teamwork grows strained as Trickster grows hesitant as well, while Captain Boomerang and Mirror Master want to keep pushing.

In a climactic battle, Flash II travels through time to help his predecessor defeat the now fractured Rogues. Barry tries to apprehend his enemies' supplier, only to watch as the villain activates a device which he has been constructing for some time. The machine charges him with electromagnetic power, and the villain reveals himself as another speedster, calling himself "Thawne". Thawne tells Barry he has been watching him for years. A brief clash between the speedsters causes a surge of electrical power across the city. Thawne then escapes through the Speed Force.

The day is saved, and Flash II begins to disappear as the timeline he came from no longer exists after ensuring Barry's survival. He tells Barry to be wary of Thawne, and prepare for a "crisis", but dissolves before he can say anymore. With his last words, he gives his name. Wallace West. Barry returns to his work as a hero as the Rogues are imprisoned again. Iris calls him, telling him her cousin "Wally" is hospital-ridden. During a visit to the CSI lab at Central City PD, he was caught in the electrical surge from Barry and Thawne's battle and doused in chemicals.

A post-credits sequence displays the fractured timeline being watched, "monitored" by red-skinned beings in shining armor. The crisis Wally spoke of is still coming, one of them says. His colleagues, calling him Mar Novu, ask him what they will do when their "fallen brother" awakens from his slumber in the "dark below". Mar Novu tells them to wait and watch for now. He continues to watch Barry Allen and the heroes of Earth, letting the flow of time continue to a breaking point. A point when the New Gods emerge from their Fourth World and take root in the universe, and a being of Anti-Life steps forth to destroy all things. The crisis. As Barry races to the hospital, Wally wakes up and discharges a bolt of lightning.

Batman Forever (1999)
Directed by Joel Schumacher
The film opens almost immediately after Batman and Robin. Riots are breaking out in Gotham, and the police are overwhelmed by the number of villains let loose. Batman is in full pursuit of the Joker, finally cornering him in Crime Alley. The hero nearly kills his nemesis for what he did to Jason Todd, but James Gordon stops him. Begging him not to lose himself, Gordon convinces Bruce to let him take the bloodied criminal away and go home to rest. A tired Batman drives home to Wayne Manor. But Bane, who has subdued Alfred, is waiting for him in the Batcave. Bane activates an implant containing the super-steroid Venom, enhancing his strength and speed before he fights Batman. Batman recognizes Bane's techniques, a style taught to him by infamous terrorist Ra's al Ghul. Bane admits he is a former member of the League of Assassins, a cult of hired killers Batman has known for years, and that Ra's al Ghul is in fact dead by his hand. Batman is defeated, and his back is broken by Bane. Bane proclaims Gotham is his, but Batman activates a failsafe in the Batcave, forcing Bane to retreat as it caves in. Batman is saved by Alfred, who gets him out of the city. Crippled and near death, Bruce is put onto an advanced Batwing by Alfred, Gordon and Lucius Fox. Bruce tells Fox to fly him to Saudi Arabia, where the League of Assassins is located. Bane proclaims to Gotham and the rest of the USA that he is in possession of a nuclear bomb, which he will detonate if any outsiders try to stop him. As Bruce's plane flies to its destination, he calls the long-estranged Dick Grayson, who is on his way to Gotham. Still caring for his former pupil after their years apart, Bruce pleads with him to rally anyone who can still oppose Bane. Dick, now going by Nightwing, agrees. The Batwing makes it to the League's territory and is brought down. Bruce and Fox are apprehended by the bodyguards of their new leader, and Bruce's former lover, Talia al Ghul.

In Gotham, a hierarchy is formed amongst the villains. The crueler, more overbearing criminals (Bane, Riddler, Two-Face) take charge, with Joker being broken out again and given free reign by Bane. Poison Ivy is enslaved to help process a continuous stock of Venom for the terrorist and his forces, while Freeze is forced to use his cryo technology to contain important prisoners. The lonely Matt Hagen, Clayface, is used as unwilling muscle by Riddler. Harley Quinn, once again discarded by Joker, reaches out to Clayface and plans a breakout of her friends. Dick Grayson as Nightwing leads the ongoing opposition against Bane's regime. In the months of conflict, a young burgeoning sleuth and fighter named Tim Drake tracks the remains of the Batcave, and the identities of Batman and his Robins. He creates a Robin outfit for himself and rescues Nightwing from an ambush. Nightwing reluctantly accepts the help of he new Robin, also enlisting Oracle and a reformed Selina Kyle/Catwoman. In the League of Shadow's base, a pit that once functioned as a nightmarish prison, Bruce is treated by Talia's servants. In his time of recovery, Talia reminisces on their time together years ago, as he trained under Ra's al Ghul and the League before leaving to pursue his life as Batman. Bane, she tells Bruce, was a prisoner in the infamous Santa Prisca, and a test subject of the "Venom" project which granted him enhanced physical abilities. Ra's al Ghul took him in and trained him to be a member of his league, but Bane proved too reckless and extremist even for Ra's and was excommunicated. In retaliation Bane assassinated Ra's, took half the League with him and poisoned their Lazarus Pit. Bruce works to regain his strength, aided by a harness crafted by Lucius. Talia tells him that he will only be able to fully recover if he bathes in the Lazarus Pit, but after Bane’s tampering it will risk madness and possible death. She offers Bruce a place with her and her people, away from Gotham.

Worried Bruce may be tempted to accept after what he's lost, Lucius contacts their allies in Gotham. Alfred and Dick come to get him back, as does Selina Kyle. Bruce’s surrogate father and son plead with Bruce to remember his mission and come home. Torn between a choice to live as Bruce Wayne or Batman, he allows himself to fall into the Lazarus Pit. In the tainted waters he is plagued with flashes of his past. (his parents’ deaths, running away from the funeral only to fall into a cave haunted by bats, and the maiming and death of Barbara and Jason). Bruce speaks to a vision of Ra’s al Ghul, who asks him why he became Batman. He recalls how afraid he was as a boy, and his determination over time to use that fear against those who prey on the innocent. He remembers that bats once frightened him, but when lost in that cave as a boy he chose to become a bat, overcoming fear, becoming fear. Then, as he did years before, Bruce sees a bat flying toward him. Embracing the apparition as it spreads its wings, Bruce is lifted up into the darkness. Walking out of the pit, Alfred address him as “Master Bruce”. Bruce looks at him, then Dick, then Selina, and Talia. “Batman, Alfred. Batman.” Talia is saddened but understanding. After one last kiss she allows Bruce to leave, asking the others to take care of him. En route to Gotham, Bruce obtains an experimental Batsuit after all the others were destroyed.

Back in Gotham, Tim Drake and friends strike a deal with the outcasts of the villains. Harley Quinn, Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy and Clayface agree to help them sabotage Bane's supplies of venom and locate his bomb. James Gordon gets a call notifying him that "the knight is returned". In a televised execution Bane has several police officers taken out to the streets, Harvey Bullock and Renee Montoya among them. Bane orders them to be shot and hanged from Wayne Tower. But an unseen assailant disables his soldier's guns. A fiery Bat-symbol is lit up on a nearby building, and Gotham is whipped into a frenzy as Batman appears. All-out war breaks out as the growing "Bat-family" leads the police in engaging Bane's allies. Ivy and Freeze spring Bane's other prisoners, with Riddler and Two-Face realizing the jig is up and choosing to run. But Clayface captures them both, paying them back for their mistreatment. At the top of Wayne Tower, Bane readies the timer on his bomb, which he has placed appropriately at the center of the building. A rejuvenated Batman lands to confront him, ready for a rematch. "Have you come to die with your city?" "No." "Then why are you here?" "To break you."

Batman and Bane fight for a second time, with the dark knight faring considerably better. Eventually, he slashes Bane with a batarang tainted with the poisoned Lazarus waters, sending Bane into a panic and then catatonia. The truth of his obsession with Batman is revealed; as a child, he was tormented by dreams of a bat demon, and when becoming a man he took it as an omen. His destiny was to break the Batman. Affirming he has risen above everything Bane and his other enemies have thrown at him, Batman demands Bane give him the remote control for the bomb. But Bane does not have it. Joker has the trigger, and will use it once he has escaped the outer limits of Gotham. But the mad criminal is intercepted by Harley, Nightwing, and the GCPD accompanied by his once victim Barbara Gordon. After a brief beatdown in revenge for his crimes against his adopted family, Nightwing obtains the remote and shuts down the nuke. Joker is disappointed, but also morbidly pleased Batman is not gone for good. Over Nightwing's communicator he asks if Batman will visit him when it's all over, but Batman refuses to give him an answer. Another month later, Gotham is beginning the process of recovery. Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy and Clayface receive more comfortable treatment at Arkham for their help in stopping Bane. The terrorist leader, now catatonic and deprived of his Venom, is kept in solitary confinement.

Bruce Wayne enlists Clayface to appear as "Batman" during a public speech in which he thanks the costumed hero for saving the city, thwarting Bane's exposure of his identity. Catwoman tells Bruce she is leaving Gotham for now, having some unfinished business to take care of before she can commit to the "hero act" for good. But she promises she will be in touch. That night Bruce preserves Jason Todd's Robin costume in the Batcave. He welcomes Tim Drake into the fold as Robin, reconciling with Dick Grayson as well. They pour over a new surveillance system provided by Barbara, ready for another night out as Alfred jokes they will need a bigger cave. As the signal is lit Bruce rushes off into the night, committed to be Batman "forever".

Superman Lives (2000)
Directed by The Wachowskis
In the aftermath of Superman's fatal battle with Doomsday, news footage of the event plays across the world. In the Fortress of Solitude, the AI projections of Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van activate a contingency in their programming. They awake a program called the Eradicator. Its mission is to preserve Kryptonian life, and defend the last son of El. The program takes on a human form, modeled after a young Clark Kent, and wanders out into the world.

Two years after the death of Superman, the world is in a state of constant fighting between superheroes and criminals. For several months the superheroes and Kryptonians make major progress, but Zod's often ruthless methods are controversial. The world is divided on what to make of Zod, some favoring his forceful enforcement of order while others question it. General Sam Lane keeps in touch with his daughter, filling her in on the Kryptonians' every move as like Batman he does not trust them. Giving a speech in Metropolis, Zod declares that crime and corruption have infected all the world. Superheroes are unable to fix Earth's problems, Zod claims. Protection of the planet will now be placed in his hands, and his alone. Using the crystal stolen from the Fortress of Solitude, Zod erects a dark tower over Metropolis. Though some of Earth's people give in to his demands out of desire for stability, many more protest the obvious signs of a dictatorship.

In his own new fortress, Zod's plans come to fruition as he successfully opens a portal to the Phantom Zone with technology supplied by a mysterious benefactor from deep space. Technology that made it possible for him to escape. His lead scientist, Jax-Ur, helps in supplying a group of twenty more Kryptonian criminals from the Zone, giving Zod a small army of "supermen" with which to enforce his rule on Earth. Things appear grim until Lois breaks Lex Luthor out of prison with the help of the Eradicator. She takes him to the Justice League, who have since gone into hiding as Zod is now hunting them. The Eradicator and Luthor tell the League they are able to resurrect Superman. The rocket that brought him to Earth housed a regeneration matrix which kept a baby "Kal-El" alive during his voyage. The Eradicator's power source, a powerful "sun stone", could boost the matrix to reconstruct Clark's dead cells along with a massive dose of solar energy.

Clark's body is retrieved from his tomb by Martian Manhunter and the Eradicator, and the Batman at last sends out a signal to every new superhero on the planet. The forces of Earth and Krypton clash. His powers slowly recovering, Clark sends a message to General Zod, telling him he is coming. While this goes on Zod's terraformer continues to power up. When it reaches a critical level, the general switches it on and a gravitational field begins to disrupt the entire city. Zod sends a signal to his unknown benefactor out in space, confident of his impending victory. But the general's gloating is cut short. Outside, the battle has been brought to a screeching halt as both the invaders and defenders are looking up in the sky. It is Superman, floating above his city and glaring straight at Zod. The return of the Man of Steel causes a swell of confidence in the defenders, who begin to push the Kryptonians back.

Superman, his powers fully restored and his Kryptonian suit charged, flies out in his red and blue colors.
The last sons of Krypton collide again, now evenly matched. After a brutal, titanic battle that leaves Zod's fortress in ruins, Superman overpowers the tyrant and again demands his surrender. When pressed as to the identity of his benefactor and the truth of how he escaped the Phantom Zone, Zod does not answer and instead swears he will never go back. Zod draws his kryptonite dagger and tries to restart the terraformer, keeping Superman away from it. Metropolis is again endangered, and as Superman tries to force his way past Zod the general wounds him twice. With millions of lives at risk Superman has no choice left, and he stabs Zod with his own weapon. With the tyrannical soldier at last defeated Superman destroys the terraforming engine and seizes Zod's Phantom Zone projector. He activates it and Zod's surviving soldiers are sucked into the pocket dimension. A dying Zod is the last to go, damning the name of El forever. The battle ends, and Earth is saved as Superman emerges to a world rejoicing at his return. Jimmy Olsen snaps a shot of the JLA reunited.
The remains of Zod's tower are being remade into an on-world base for the Justice League. With dozens of heroes having come into the light, the League move to expand their operations worldwide.

Clark Kent's identity has been kept secret with the help of Batman and Martian Manhunter, who invent a cover story of an undercover assignment for Clark oversees. As Superman, he visits Lex Luthor who is back in prison by his own choice. For his help in saving the world Lex is allowed to help S.T.A.R. Labs' research and development. Lex tells Clark his secret is safe, appreciating him at long last as a true hero and apologizing for his past mistakes. Clark agrees to give Lex a second chance. After a meeting with the new Justice League, Clark Kent says a goodbye to Diana and Bruce Wayne for now, telling them he has some "personal business" to take care of for the time being. Lois picks up Clark, and they drive back to the Kent farm together. Still carrying Clark's engagement ring, Lois tells him she's had her answer ready for a long time. Putting the ring on, she and Clark watch the sun rise, knowing not even death can keep them apart.

In a post-credits sequence, S.T.A.R. Labs and Lex Luthor try to decode the technology used by Zod. Hoping to discover who would let a genocidal war criminal back into the universe, Luthor traces the source of Zod's help to another dimension. Amanda Waller of the government confirms his suspicions, revealing her agency's research into a higher plane of existence called the Fourth World. Furthermore, one of the Kryptonians that served Zod, the scientist Jax-Ur, was unaccounted for as one of the prisoners sent back to the Zone. Whoever Zod's benefactor is, they have intimate knowledge of Krypton and have now attempted to invade Earth by proxy. And Luthor knows they will return. A symbol is uncovered from Zod's files, and Luthor displays it to Waller and their scientists. An Omega.

Wonder Woman and the Cheetah's Temple (2001)
Directed by Katheryn Bigelow
The film is a treasure hunt that quickly devolves into a mess of sorcery, chaos and bitter betrayal. A prologue shows a younger Diana sparring with her mother. Hippolyta lectures Diana on the importance of mercy, telling her not every fight has to end in bloodshed and death. In the present, Diana Prince is now in a relationship with Steve Trevor after years of romantic tension. She is contacted by businesswoman Veronica Cale. In the sub-saharan country of Bwunda, a dig is underway by Diana's old friend Babara Ann Minerva. The dig aims to uncover the remains of a lost civilization that worshipped Urzkartaga, a vicious god who demanded human sacrifice and transformed his human "brides" into monsters.

Diana contacts Barbara, whose company is being guided by the mysterious Curtis Knox, a wealthy purveyor of rare antiquities. Knowing that mad gods are an all-too-common reality in the world, Diana tries to ask Barbara to call off the expedition. Having recently suffered a bitter fallout with Diana, Barbara ignores her concerns. Between her growing ambitions to make a name for herself, and implied envy over Diana and Steve's relationship, Barbara is becoming less a respected archaeologist and more a glory hound. To make matters worse, Knox is secretly the immortal warlord and plunderer Vandal Savage. Savage is in possession of a knife used to perform sacrifices to Urzkartaga. He plans to use the knife in a sacrifice that will grant him the god's power.

Diana flies to Africa with Steve to intervene in the dig. They are accompanied by US marines, one of them being veteran soldier John Stewart. The trip ends in disaster when Barbara's group are ambushed by denizens of the jungle, worshipping Urzkartaga. Barbara is taken captive, with Savage intending to make her the god's sacrifice/bride. Diana and the others track Savage to the temple of Urzkartaga with a map provided by Etta Candy. At the temple, the heroes try to rescue Barbara, but Savage is already beginning the ritual. Diana stops Savage from ascending to godhood, but is too late to save Barbara. Barbara is marked by Savage's knife, transformed into a bestial half-cheetah creature.

The last act is a Predator style hunt, as "Cheetah" is ordered by Savage to attack Diana and the others. The entire expedition is killed except for Diana, Steve and John. Eventually Diana offers herself up to lure out Cheetah. Twisted into hating her old friend, the maddened Cheetah engages Diana in a vicious, bloody fight. Steve and John confront Vandal Savage. The immortal warrior is more than a match for the two, claiming to have taken part in assassinating men like Julius Caesar, and being such conquerors like Genghis Khan. John is able to destroy the knife of Urzkartaga, robbing Savage of a weapon and allowing Steve to subdue him. Diana defeats Cheetah, but will not kill her. In spite of what Barbara pursued and what she has become, Diana honors her mother's lesson on mercy. Using her Lasso of Truth, Diana clears the transformed woman's head and calms her down.

Returning to the United States, the survivors turn Vandal Savage into the authorities. Savage warns Diana that the return of the gods is inevitable, both the "old" and the "new". Barbara is taken to a secure facility where she may be treated for her curse. John Stewart returns to his base, and Diana sees a photo of John with his old friend Hal Jordan, now the Green Lantern. Diana reports to Cale on the failure of their dig, but is disturbed when Cale is disappointed by the dagger of Urzkartaga's destruction. Concerned that Cale may have counted on what happened and was after the dagger, Diana warns Cale that she will be keeping an eye on her before leaving.

In a post-credits scene, Diana and Steve compile a record of the known gods on Earth. Diana is haunted by Savage's warning, remembering a fable of "new gods" out in the cosmos. She is unsure what the story means, but having just dealt with another evil deity which cost her a friend, she decides to investigate. Diana returns to Themyscira, where her mother is waiting for her. Hippolyta takes Diana to a shrine marked with a mural of the Fourth World. The realm of the New Gods.

Flashpoint (2001)
Directed by Robert Zemeckis
In the 25th century, scientist Eobard Thawne conducts an experiment to grant himself the powers of the legendary Flash. The experiment goes awry, however, and Thawne develops an unstable variant of the Speed Force, which he uses as the vigilante "Professor Zoom". His powers begin to take a mental toll, and he investigates. Thawne's discovery leaves him incensed, burning with hatred for his former idol Barry Allen. Thawne creates a cosmic treadmill with which he leaps back in time, to 1972. Landing at the Allen household, he knocks on the front door and fires up his powers.

In the present day, three years after the first film, Wally West is coming into his own as a new Flash. Operating on the West Coast he stays in touch with Barry Allen, who remains in Central City. Though Barry is a dutiful teacher, he doggedly pursues the traces of Eobard Thawne after the villain attempted to have him killed. The obsession overtakes his life, hurting his job and his relationship with Iris West. Barry finds a lead when he is called to prison, where his father received a visit in the night from a man dressed in a Flash costume. Henry gives him a message, written in blood with a photograph of Nora Allen attached. "It was me." Barry is enraged, understanding the meaning of the message; whoever Thawne is, he murdered Nora. Ignoring his father's pleas not to take the bait, Barry tells Iris to call in the Justice League for protection and lie low. He hunts for Thawne, relying on traces of the Speed Force.

Wally finds him, having been called up by Iris and ready to help his mentor. They follow Thawne's trail to an abandoned foundry, where the murderer greets them in a perverted version of a Flash costume. Calling himself the Reverse Flash, he tells them he has waited years for this meeting and engages both heroes in an intense fight. Reverse Flash holds his own, being just as powerful as either Flash and holding decades more experience. The fight opens a tear in space-time, and Reverse Flash goads Barry into following him in. Wally jumps in after them. The vortex consumes them all, and they vanish.

Barry wakes up in the alternate reality with no memory of how he got there, as in the story we know. He's got no powers. Iris is dating a colleague. Both of Barry's parents are still alive, and meet him for a heartfelt family dinner. Atlantis and Themyscira are also at war, and the Justice League does not exist. However, both Hal Jordan and Superman are not featured. Kal-El's rocket passed by Earth, landing on another world. And Hal is nowhere to be seen, either off in space or dead. The Batman of this dark world first appears in a violent raid on Roman Sionis's base, slaughtering the crime lord's men before finishing him off with a shot to the head. Returning to the now-abandoned Wayne Manor, Batman encounters a desperate and powerless Barry Allen. After getting off on the wrong foot, Barry wins Thomas Wayne's trust with details of his family no one in this reality could possibly know. They share their own stories, with flashbacks to the tragedy that befell the Waynes and the fallout which ensued.

While Kal-El / Superman is absent from this story, Wally West is being studied by the US government. His powers remain, but are severely hampered to the point where he cannot escape. No one believes his claims of an alternate dimension. No one but Victor Stone, the Cyborg. As in the real-life Flashpoint story, Cyborg is the premiere hero of this reality. With his powers operating on a more advanced scale than his younger prime timeline self, Cyborg determines Wally is telling the truth and decides to help him. After regaining his powers with Batman's help, Barry reconnects with Wally and they team up with Cyborg. Knowing Reverse Flash is connected to the birth of this awful reality, they resolve to find him. Batman entrusts the younger Flash with a weapon to use against the villain, and gives Barry a message meant for his son in the prime timeline. Despite their best efforts, the team are unable to prevent a metahuman war. At the battle's onset, Reverse Flash appears to greet Barry as the world comes to a destructive end. At first he outmaneuvers the heroes again, until Thomas Wayne wounds him with a gunshot to the leg. Reverse Flash tries to retreat, and the two Flashes pursue him.

The chase leads them to land on different Earths, each worse than the last. Until they arrive on a barren wasteland far in the future of the Flashpoint world, after the metahuman war destroyed all life on Earth. A wasteland that is beginning to disintegrate into oblivion, as the timeline collapses from the Flash's meddling. As they fight, Thawne reveals why he hates Barry Allen so deeply. Long before the 25th century, Barry Allen tampered with the chemical reaction which granted people the Speed Force. Attempting to prevent any rogue agent from abusing the power of the Flash. When Thawne attempted to grant himself such power, he developed an unstable negative Speed Force which drove him insane. Defying Barry, he created a time machine to enhance his powers and traveled back to 1972 to kill Barry's mother, ruining his life. Moreover, Thawne then reveals the truth that it was Barry who created the Flashpoint. After pursuing his enemy into the timestream, Barry glimpsed the past murder of his mother and ran to change it. Wally tried to stop him, but failed. The resulting shockwave shattered time, creating the nightmare that was the new world.

Wracked with guilt and horror, Barry can't fight back and Thawne brutally beats him down. Before he can finish his hated enemy, Thawne is incapacitated by the weapon Batman supplied Wally; a device which leeches off latent Speed Force. His own abilities boosted temporarily, Wally overpowers and subdues Thawne. He tells Barry to run back in time and undo what he did. Barry is hesitant to leave his friend behind, but Wally assures him they will both be safe and none of this will have ever happened. Trusting his student's optimism, Barry begins his race back to the past. Thawne tries one last time to kill Barry, but the younger Flash punches him into the oncoming timewave where he apparently vanishes from existence. Barry intercepts his past self, merging with him and stopping the split in time. In a vision, Barry encounters his mother Nora and says a tearful goodbye to her. The vision knows everything that's happened, implying she is speaking to him from beyond the grave. They hug, and both Allens are consumed by the light.

The world is restored to its proper state. With new "evidence" come to light on a mysterious interloper at the Allen house in 1972, Henry Allen's name is cleared and he is released. Barry holds on to the note from Thomas Wayne. As the Justice League is occupied studying a mysterious anomaly in deep space, he waits to give Bruce his father's message until the time is right. Wally continues his work as the Flash on the West Coast. Though Barry continues his mentorship of the young hero, he retires from hero work for the time being as penance for his world-threatening actions. Before he takes Iris out for dinner, with plans to propose, Barry grants Wally a new suit and his blessing. The new Flash speeds off, ready for more adventure. After the credits, the Reverse Flash appears floating through a formless void. He approaches an ominous shadow, and upon seeing it he appears to lose what little sanity he has left.

Titans (2003)
Directed by F. Gary Gary
The opening act is a standard "coming together" much like the animated series: Starfire escapes Gordanian slavers, the team first meets to repel a small invasion and Starfire starts to hit it off with Nightwing . Except here, the Gordanian slavers holding Starfire are also in touch with the H.I.V.E. organization of villains and their mass trafficking of metahumans. The team's base of operations is built on an island outside the crime-infested city Bludhaven. H.I.V.E. hires the feared mercenary Deathstroke to dispatch the Titans, and he guns for Nightwing in particular.

In flashbacks, Deathstroke and Nightwing's rivalry is shown as a result of a fight several years back between Batman, Deathstroke, Nightwing and Ravager (Grant Wilson). A subject of physical enhancements like his father, Grant suffered side-effects from the experiment. In a tragic accident, he suffered a heart attack in the fight and tried to shoot Batman, only to be stopped by a baton thrown by Nightwing. The attack caused his heart to give out completely, causing Deathstroke to swear bloody retribution on Nightwing.

Rose Wilson, the new Ravager, is used as a pawn in her father's plot but wants to be free of the assassin life. She ends up joining the Titans after her father disregards their safety for revenge. The climax features the Titans team facing Deathstroke and H.I.V.E. in a pitched battle. Nightwing defeats him with Rose's help, and the villain is apparently mortally wounded, falling into the bay of Bludhaven (but secretly surviving). The movie ends with the team putting out recruitments for other young superheroes in need of help. In a post-credits scene, Raven meditates alone in her room but is haunted by a horned spectre with four eyes. The gem on her forehead burns, causing her powers to overload for a moment. Raven keeps this from her teammates. But the demon continues to watch her from the dark.
