Wait a ****ing second... Batman's gauntlets have no fins?

Oh hell naw!!!

It also seems that everyone can draw Jim Lee's new suits better than he can draw them. Everything looks so much better! Even the Flash!

Aquaman stole Batman's fins to help disabled fish who have lost theirs :)

Lol there's no way Mr Terrific and The Savage Hawkman last past issue 10.

I'll give both books a try, as Hawkman is one of my favorite characters and I have always liked Mr. Terrific as well. I'm really curious/confused as to how the JSA will fit into this new Earth. It looks like Hawkman is just starting, but he was the JSA's chairman longer than anyone.

And "The Savage Hawkman"? REALLY? What, is Martin Goodman back from the dead and are they picking adjectives to appease him? Will they do the "Astonishing Atom" and the "Amazing Aquaman" next? Maybe they should title Mr. Terrific's book "The Terrific Mr. Terrific".

The Savage Hawkman. W.T.F.

Drawing and writing are different talents.

Didn't stop Jack Kirby, Will Eisner, Frank Miller, Jeff Lemire, Phil Hester and well the list simply goes on. :p

I'm not going to lie, i've acquired a vague interest in Hawkman from his appearance in Smallville, but DC is going to have to do some heavy-duty marketing on guys like him and Mr Terrific and Firestorm otherwise these books are going to end up being sales disasters by issue 10.

I got Geoff Johns' Hawkman Omnibus ordered and i'm checking out this new volume, the design is abit "extreme" but i just wanna read some Indiana Jones meets superheroes stuff.

Because this is the Bizarro world where artists write really well.

Vixen i think.

PS, i cant wait for Firestorm. Sounds like Spiderman in tone, but he's two high school kids in one!

lol Vixen is easy to spot but the girl all the way at the bottom left in black/gold...??

Thats what I thought but do we know for certain. And if it is 100% her, they need to give her back her gauntlets so she can have one aspect of the WW family.

Frank Millar's artistry isn't what I'd call talented.

It's hard to get a writing job in comics and you can't tell me there aren't hoards of talented writers out there wanting a chance to write for DC. Not every artist is Jack Kirby.

Makes me wonder if it's a product of the fact that over the years DiDio seems to have alienated most writers in the industry.

Well DC does seem to be less nurturing to new writers than Marvel. It seems like alot of writers end up leaving DC for marvel.

Anybody else notice that of all the costume changes, the Lanters (Hal and Guy so far) have pretty much remained the same? Geoff Johns bias?

I've been reading around and people are saying it's more likely Gypsy.
Who the hell is Gypsy?

Also, notice how Ice's midriff is gone, Vixen has no cleavage and so on. Booster's suit is a disaster.

Btw Misty, Simone will be writing Firestorm.

Ya. I was kind of surprised they didnt change any to resemble the movie look. Maybe Kyle (if he is still around) will have a new costume.

I remember thinking something similar when I read this yesterday:

Green Lantern #1 - Even with a new #1, Green Lantern remains in Johns' hands, and readers can expect the effects of major crossovers like "Blackest Night" to stay in place moving forward.

Eh Guy's suit is iconic and you cant change the jacket without fans raging. They did that with Mr. Terrific's and there's an outrage.

Hal's suit just got refined a bit. I'm sure they would have liked it to look more like the movie's but it would have been a nightmare to draw.

I'm still raging over Booster's crap suit and Batman's lack of fins. WTF is this ****?

I don't know her well, but I remember her in the animated "Crisis on Two Earths" movie, in the alternate Earth.

They're all getting covered up!

Who's the dude in the top right of the JLI?

Or do we not know yet.

I believe he is from The Great Ten mini/Final Crisis.

Cant wait to see what they did with Black Canary/Zantana/Powergirl/Supergirl/Starfire redesigns.

And how they are going to tackle Babs as Batgirl again.

Lee(THE GUY WHO SOLD A MILLION COPIES OF XMEN)

Umm, you do know that the only reason X-Men #1 sold one million copies was due to there being 5 varient covers that everyone had to have (including speculators which were huge at that time in the industry). If there would not have been five different versions of that cover, it would not have sold near as well. One million divided by 5 is 200,000.

Here is what CBR are saying:

Filling out the company's claims of a more diverse line, the DC relaunches also include some title with global twists such as "Justice League International" – this time written by Jurgens and drawn by Aaron Lopresti – featuring Booster Gold, Guy Gardner, Vixen, Fire, Ice, August General In Iron of the Great Ten, Rocket Red, a version of Batman and someone who appears to be a newly costumed Donna Troy as "internationally-drafted superheroes" who "fight each other and their bureaucratic supervisors as much as they do global crime."
