DC to "Rebirth" in June - Part 1

All-Star Batman has been just horrendous. It's not worth $3 let alone $5.

Loving Aquaman as well. But I'm ready for a new storyline.

King's Batman has been a bit of a letdown as well. Every issue feels like it is trying to set up something bigger. But there's never any payoff.

But All Star has been garbage. It's everything wrong with Snyder without any of his good qualities. It's unnecessarily grandiose, over the top in violence and relies too heavily on shock value. Makes me wonder how much of Snyder's previous success was due to Capullo's art which was the best Batman has ever looked.

I don't think it was Capullo's art because I actually don't like his art but still liked the run for the most part. I just think the story in All-New has been fairly dumb. And I also really don't like Romita's art, so that just hurts it even more.

I haven't read it yet, but I'm sure I will like the Mr. Freeze one-shot with Jock's art better than the first arc with Two-Face.

Looking forward to Poison Ivy's story next month.

I couldn't imagine spending five bucks on All Star Batman. Of these titles Red Hood and the Outlaws is far and away my favorite. And that's a sentence I never imagined I'd type a year ago.

My faves are Red Hood, Detectives, Supes, Action, and WW.

Anybody reading Green Arrow? I'm hoping that Notting and the Vice Squad aren't killed off. I'm actually digging him/them as villains. I don't see how they could become recurring but I really like the contrast between Notting and Ollie. It's also an interesting and realistic backstory. I like its simplicity. Suits GA well.

I don't know if anyone here has been reading Harley Quinn (I haven't because it's horrible), but I did pick up and read the last two issues because The Joker is in them.

Is this supposed to be the real Joker? Wasn't he missing or presumed dead? And why hasn't he been in any of the main titles?

I'm guessing that Harley's comment about ending the charade is a clue to this Joker being an impostor.

And by the way, that title is awful! Like you I just checked it out due to curiosity about the Joker.

I had read i believe it was in solicits that a different happier joker was gonna appear in Harley Quinn.

We'll find out soon enough. As much as I've been loving DC Rebirth, I've definitely been missing the J-man.

I have to assume the resolution of the three Jokers thing will be an event in the same way that The Button is.

While I am enjoying Rebirth Superman I still miss New 52 Superman and don't get the hate towards him. People expected him to be just like the old Superman but if they read the interviews before the release of New 52 Superman they should've have understood that a lot of stuff changed in Superman's life that made him act the way he does. I personally liked how he was turning around giving the changes that were made. The only thing I didn't like with him was him dating Wonder Woman even though I was ok with it I always felt he should be with Lois. But I did like that issue that showed what happened and how Superman and Lois missed their chance. Personally I think it would've worked better if all the heroes were rebooted and not just Superman and Wonder Woman for the most part.

Porter is hit or miss with me, but you're right. That is a damn good looking Flash.

Oh I don't disagree with you that pre-flashpoint Superman is much better than New 52 Superman but in the same all I am saying is New 52 Superman wasn't that bad either. People tend to forget that pre-52 Superman up until Flashpoint still had his mother to rely on for guidance and for the most the part had his father till about a two years before Flashpoint. Where New 52 Superman lost all of that at such a young age which did effect him and which is why I can understand why he is the way he is but in the same they were writing and building him up to be much more like pre-flashpoint Superman. That's why I say he wasn't that bad it was just different however I still stand behind my statement that new 52 as a whole would've benefitted much more if they rebooted everybody instead of just Superman and Wonder Woman.

It's about time I finally get to enjoy a Batman issue. Loved the burger place scene. It's refreshing to see King actually write natural dialogue instead of stilted nonsense.

Cyborg's initial arc has been dragging on too long. I like some ideas and giving him a rogues gallery and supporting characters, but some of the dialogue is very hokey.

The Fall and Rise of Captain Atom just got really good. The first issue was neat, but the second issue took a really interesting turn. I can't wait to see more.

Funny. I loved the idea of the Batman themed fast food restaurant but I still hate King's dialogue. I also hated seeing Bruce acting like such a tool to the Robins, and especially Dick.

Why even tell the Robins not to get involved? You might as well tell them exactly when and where to show up when Bane comes knocking. Also glad Jason felt naturally like one of the family. New 52 really helped his character a lot.

This recent Batman issue was the first so far in this run that I enjoyed a ton. And the recent Detective issue was great, that series hasn't disappointed.
