DC Universe Animated Green Lantern Movie Thread

I heard the release date was moved from late June to late July.
Any truth to this?

the trailer is out now. looks awesome, but sinestro is wearing his sinestro corps armor instead of his purple and black costume.meh. i doubt it'll matter.

That trailer was awesome. Seemed like a live-action flick from how it was edited and presented. This is probably the highest I've anticipated a DC-animated film.

The animated movie is looking really great. I'm starting to worry it's gonna steal the thunder from the live action version!

That trailer almost made me change my shorts. I can just imagine what the actually animated movie will do. I can't wait for this, I want it now.

I like the fact that Sinestro is in his Sinestro Corps outfit rather than the blue/purple and black one. As far as Abin Sur, yeah his new look does look wierd, but it something people will get used to.

I wonder if the scene where he turns all green is a link to either Parallax or Ion ( I wouldn't think Ion cause that is Kyle not Hal, but studios have been known to change things before)

One of my favourite moments in the trailer has to be Hal Jordan forming a construct of a STEEL CHAIR to take out a bad guy. Evidently Hal's a wrestling fan.

Been waiting TOO LONG for this. July can't come soon enough! Between this, the live-action movie news as production nears, and all the GL events in the comics, 2009 is truly shaping up to be THE YEAR OF THE GREEN LANTERN LIGHT!

False advertising... blatantly trying to cover the fact that JL New Frontier was basically Hal's origin story told in animated form.

You know it was more of a Green Lantern movie than it was a Justice League movie.

New Frontier is a stand alone story set in the 50's and was marketed as such....what's your point??

... I beg to differ, considering Justice League: The New Frontier could arguably be name Green Lantern: The New Frontier.

I'm just saying... the one film that the crew worked on which they choose not to advertise is the one were we saw Green Lantern's origins.

Two films later, what are we getting again?... so i repeat : ''Trying to make us forget about something, eh Warner Bros.?''


Just an observation.. I'm incredibly excited for this movie.

The comic had a lot of balance, but they movie did do a bit more GL than I woulda expected.

exactly....you use the word 'arguably'.....there are episodes of JL and JLU that are Green Lantern centered so you could apply the argument there as well if you'd like....

it is the first time GL has had a self titled animated film....so its all in the wording.....

And I consider Justice League: The New Frontier a movie about Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter.
