There are many DVD/Comic retailers in NYC that receive there movies early and they start selling them once they get them in.

It was good, it was Star Wars-y, maybe too much. Did they have to go to the cantina! What shocked me was how little was set on Earth, which I was grateful for because It showcases the corps rather than Hal's supporting cast

I think this is deliberate to entice the viewers into buying the video. You can tell be cause it has a sponsor's (Coca Cola) commercial at the end.

Sure. It may be the fastest way to learn about Green Lantern without having to obtain and read a bunch of comic books.

I really enjoyed ths movie, thou not as much as Wonder Woman. I really could watch this movie over and over (and I can't say that for Superman: Doomsday or Batman: Gotham Knight).

It's a great crash course to learn some Green Lantern info.

I give it a 8/10!!

I watched the movie, honestly, I didn't like it. There were some great moments but so many crappy ones. All of the aliens were basically comedic devices (that alien bar scene.. horrible), the rings have nothing to do with emotions, no real reason for Hal to be chosen (you really know NOTHING about him at all here, he just gets the ring and that is it), the random building of the yellow battery and how easily it was handed over to Sinestro was odd.

The animation is great though as is the music. Wonder Woman is still the best DC Animated Film by far.

I loved the movie. I was actually surprised by how brutal the film was. They kill people in this movie. They break necks and impale people. Most of the aliens to me weren't comedic. They acted like normal people(who just happened to be aliens). The bad guys didnt have any slapstick humor. The only comedic ones were those who were designed to be(a green lantern squirrel). They didnt mention the emotion spectrum but I dont think they really needed to. They created a good foundation. The origin of Hal Jordan was the first thing they said they werent doing. After dedicating a film to a Hal Jordans origin in Frontier there was no point in showing something similar in this film. And honestly his actions throughout the film more then compensate. The fact that the guardians question him lets the audience start at 0. The random building of the battery? I don't see how that was random at all. The movie made it pretty clear why it was being built, who built it, how they got it built. Explain how any of it was random.
It was handed over to Sinestro since the builders were simply builders. They got enough evidence that it belonged to him(he knew things only Ro would know) and so he got it. Honestly the builders didnt care who got it as long as the job was done. I dont know why you didnt enjoy the film. But to each his own.

I dunno, it just didn't work for me. I loved the action, the final fight scene was awesome, but the rest was just mediocre for me.

Liked it. Don't know if it's because I don't know very much about the Green Lantern comics. Let's say there wasn't an inner geek that got in the way of my enjoyment. Although, there was one moment that I thought would've been impossible.

I thought Green Lanters weren't allowed to kill and the Ring would prevent them from doing so. Until that Rule was changed later.
