I have the symbol tattooed on my right arm, I also have been thinking about getting the blue lantern symbol on my left arm.

Hal Jordan has flawns. Before getting the ring, he was a conceived as*hole. After receiving it, he had authority issuas and was overly confident sometimes. Now, he has to deal with everything he commited during the time he was possesed by Parallax and face the repercussions of knowing the Universe is coming to an end, and he might be on the wrong side.

If so, I don't think this animated special portrayed those flaws of Jordon very well. Again, I saw his character as written as more of a stoic square jawed space hero, akin to Flash Gordon. Which isn't bad per say. Just a bit retro. I still enjoyed the film.

I'm telling you personally that the Wonder Woman one was a lot better than you'd think. Especially the animation and art direction. MUCH better than I was expecting.

Maybe I'll get around to renting it some of these days.

Hal's even though Kyle is my favorite...im just going for the basic generic symbol they all have...or you could say john stewart since I am black. I just want it to be more along the lines of me being a corps member than emulate one of the existing four...if that makes sense

I don't subscribe to NetFlix, mostly because our mail-man has all the grace of a chimp on steroids with mail in my apartment. There's reliable Blockbuster, which will let you keep a DVD for like 100 months, but at about $6-$7 a pop (or enough to buy it on sale at Amazon for many titles). The "mom and pop" rental places are usually cheaper ($3-$5 for a 24-48 hour rental), but they took the conversion from VHS to DVD hard, with most finding their stock worthless and their rentals few. There used to be maybe 5-6 of these in my neighborhood. We're down to maybe one now.

We'll see what happens.

I checked it out a couple of days ago, and I liked it. I don't think it's worth a buy though. There were alot of plot holes in it, and Dread wrote such an excellent review that I'll defer to him for that. I'm not going to give any spoilers. I'm just going to say that if you're familiar with the GL mythos, you won't be left in the dust. If you aren't too familiar with GL, then you might be dumb founded on how things work. They really could've explained things more. I was using the Emerald Dawn minis as my reference alot.

From what I have been reading of the reports coming from the San Diego ComicCon (SDCC), the World Premier screening was a SRO event with 4200+ in attendance (more than a legion) and another 1500 people turned away at the gate. This inspired Warner Home Entertainment to add an encore presentation of the film today (about an hour ago). This gives me a good feeling about the franchise, and I hope that those of you who got to see the film before the release date actually go and buy a copy (even if you never open it). I think this will further the cause to make this stick as a perpetual franchise.

It'd be cool to focus on the Corps before Hal is recruited. Abin Sur, Sinestro, Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Salaak, Arisia and C'hip could be the leads.

That would be cool for a while, then at the end of the first or second season(depending on how long each season would be) You could place the First Flight into continuity and work from there.
